G.R.A.C.E. Community Services is a Disaster Case Management and Education Ministry based in Houston, Texas. G.R.A.C.E. is dedicated to serving the community before, during and after a disaster has occurred, by navigating disaster survivors through the FEMA sequence of delivery.
G.R.A.C.E. is going into areas that have the greatest need. With this in mind, G.R.A.C.E. Community Services was formed in March 2006, in LaPlace, as an extension of the Houston office’s efforts to bring healing and recovery to Hurricane Katrina survivors. The LaPlace office services the Tri-Parish area of St. John, St. Charles, and St. James Parishes. Through its Case Management and Construction processes, G.R.A.C.E., has served over 400 clients and is in the process of providing home repairs in the River Parish area.
G.R.A.C.E.’s goal is to keep faith based communities informed about available resources to assist in the recovery/relief processes when a disaster occurs.
GRACE Community services is here to impact the community within and across the parish lines by connecting pastors/churches with community leaders and state officials, thereby creating alliances that will ensure that communities are properly educated to respond and to recover in times of disaster. GRACE employs highly motivated individuals who care for and are devoted to helping its communities learn how to plan and participate in the recovery process before, during and after a disaster occurs.
