LAPLACE – Three people in LaPlace found an illegal and cheap way to get themselves a free dinner when they conceived a plan to rob a Domino’s delivery employee of his pizzas Friday night, then fled the scene of the crime without taking any money, according to the St. John Sheriff’s Office.

The incident started at approximately 8:45 p.m. when the delivery employee knocked on the door of a house on the 1500 block of Natchez Lane with three fresh medium pizzas before the owner of the home told him no one at the home ordered any food.

The delivery worker walked towards his car to leave when three man wearing black stocking caps, black shirts and black pants allegedly grabbed the pizzas and demanded his money.

The employee claimed he wasn’t carrying any cash and the three men sprinted away with the pizzas. One man reportedly carried a pistol as they fled.

Police could not find the men or any physical evidence during a search of the area.

The caller whom ordered from Domino’s likely asked for a special &#8220three for five” deal for the pizzas, reportedly worth a total of $17.94.
