LUTCHER- Herbert “Papee” Banks, of Lutcher and native of Garyville, on Feb 8, 2007. He was the son of the late Lillie Bell Pidgeopn and Lamus Banks, and stepson of Robert Pidgeon.
He is survived by wife, Elizabeth Banks of Lutcher and children Karen Randall of Baton Rouge, Raymond and wife Sherri Carter and Bruce and wife Delhine Carter of Austin, Texas, and LaDarrion Banks of Lutcher. He was step-father to Joseph McKinley of Lutcher, and Charley, Michael, Henry and Herbert arter of Garyville, and Mattie Smith of Austin.
He was the brother and brother-in-law of Rosemary and Richard Hardy of Laplace, Barbara Bynum of Baton Rouge, Joyce and Roger Johnson of Garyville, Mary ann branch and husband Jayce of LaPlace, and Roy and Carolyn Pidgeon of Garyville.
Preceded in death by Sharon, Robert, Nathaniel and Kevin Pidgeon.
Also survived by 2 godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Services were held Monday, Feb. 12. 2007 from Israelite Baptist Church in Lutcher at 11 a.m.
Kinler
Alton J. Kinler, 67, of Paulina, on Saturday Feb. 10, 2007. He was the son of the late Edmond Kinler and Anita Laiche Kinler.
He is survived by siblings Dudley “T-dud” Kinler and Edmond “Clerk” Kinler Sr., Nora K. Faucheux, of Paulina, and Ellis “Spud” Kinler of LaPlace.
Also survived by numerous nices, nephews,relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by siblings Larry Kinler, Alton George Kinler, Janice K. Decareaux and Alice K. Bailey.
Services were held Tuesday, February, 12, 2007 from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina at 10:30 a.m.
Miano
RESERVE- Myrtle Troxler Miano, 84, of Reserve, on Feb. 11, 2007. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel J Miano,
She is survived by her children, Kent, Drew, and Ross Miano and Greer Millet; and grandchildren Kevin, Amanda, Sam and James Miano and Gracie and Madeline Millet.
Services will be held Wednesday, February 14, 2007 from St. Peter Church in Reserve with visitation 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by religious services.

Gerard “Jerry, Smith, 53, of New Orleans, on Feb 5, 2007 he was the father of Jason Smith and grandfather of Eldon and Ethan Smith, and son of the late Mark “Babe” Smith and Juliette Englade Smith.
Survived by siblings Lynne, Gonzales, Mark Smith Jr., and Joy Arcuri.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceded in death by sister Barbara Waguespack.
Services were held Saturday Feb. 10, 2007 from Ascension of ur Lord CReserve at 1 p.m.
