RESERVE – Donaldsonville took advantage of Riverside’s cold shooting last week in a 10-2A match-up to run away with a 76-32 win over the Rebels in Reserve Friday night.
There was little that the Rebels could do to slow the Tigers in the game as Donaldsonville kept the home team’s offense off-balance while commanding the lane and boards throughout. The first quarter found the Tigers jumping out to a nine point lead, which grew to 20 by halftime.
In the third quarter, Riverside found a bit more range with their shots, but had no answer to Donaldsonville’s balanced attack and trailed by nearly 30 entering the final period. There, the score was a runaway as the Tigers went on a run of 20-4 to finish it up with the 76-32 final.
The Rebels drop to 10-15 with the loss, and winless yet through two district games.
