LAPLACE- Robin Lynn Alexander, 34, of LaPlace, on Monday Jan. 1 2007. She was the daughter of Robert and Janet V Alexander and sister of Melissa A. Roussel and her husband Terry and Jenny Alexander. She was the aunt of Madison and Evan Roussel. She was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army.

Niece of aunts and uncles Penny and Mike Roussel, Mary and Gene Powell, and Todd and Lisa Vicknair and granddaughter of Marie Morgan and the late Francis Vicknair and godchild of Anthony Ringo.

Services were held Wednesday, jan 3, 2007 from Millet- Guidory Funeral Home at 10 a.m.

Chemay

HAMMOND- Louis Joseph Chemay, 91, of Hammond on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006. He was and educator for 37 years in St. John, Plaquemines and St. Charles Parishes and a member of the American Feeration of Musicians and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra for over 50 years. He is also a veteran of WWII in the Pacific.

He was the father of Frank L. Chemay and wife Cynthia of Baton Rouge, Frederick E. Chemay and wife Judy of Erie, Colorado, Mark T. Chemay and wife Karen of Albany, Albert P. Chemay of Hammond and Constance A. Chemay of Hammond.

Also survived by sister-in-law Jean Chemay in Baltimore, four grandchildren one great grandson and brother Albert Chemay of Del Rio, Texas.

He is preceded in death by parents Louis and Jennie Bruskay Chemay, and brother Frank L. Chemay.

Kelson

JEFFERSON- Paul Anthony &#8220Tony” Kelson, 45, of Reserve, on Monday, January 1, 2007. He was the son of Mary Taylor Kelson and Alex Kelson Jr. and father of Candace Tranell Young and Amber Lynn William of LaPlace. He was the devoted friend of Toni May and stepfather of Vernon A. Smith Jr.

Also survived by siblings Donna Washington, Larry Kelson, Kathryn (Larry) Pack and Eric Kelson of Reserve, Alex Kelson III (Michelle) of Garyville, Anita Washington of LaPlace, and Jeff Kelson (Monja) of New Orleans and a host of nieces, nephews and caregiver Senoria Matthews.

Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6 2007 from Greater New Plymouth Rock Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Visitation from 9 to 10:45 a.m.

Letulle

CONVENT- Wayne Joseph Letulle, 54, of Convent and Native of Union, on January 1, 2007. He is survived by two sisters Faye Pennington and Laura Brown; five nieces and nephews, David, Dana, Rebecca Brown and Morgan and Jack Pennington.

Also survived by two great-nephews Taylor and Blaze.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alvin Letulle and Ursula Chauvin.

Services were held Thursday, Jan. 4 2007 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Union.

Michel

LUTCHER- Evelyn &#8220Ms. Eveee” Ordoyne Michel, 71 of Gramercy and native of Lutcher, on Dec. 28, 2006. She was the former owner of Evee’s Lounge in Gramercy and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the daughter of Elia G. Ordoyne and the late Dolian (Noon) and the sister and sister-in-law of Edward &#8220Jimmy” and Catherine Ordoyne of Gramecy, Alice and husband Andy Deroche.

She is survived by her children Wilfred &#8220Bill” Michel of Gramercy and Bodie and his wife Donna Michel of Houma; and daughter Trudie and her husband Mark Gaudet of Houma.

Also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, former husband Arthur Michel, son Artie Michel, daughter Gizelle &#8220Gi” McCoy granddaughter Mindy Gaudet and brother-in-law Frank Laiche Jr.

Services were held Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from Rose Lynn Funeral Home from 8:30 to 12:30 a.m. in Houma.

Thomas

DALLAS- Helen Mary Thomas, 94, of Dallas and Norco, on Monday, January 1 2007. She was the mother and mother-in-law of Ronald Thomas Jr. and his wife Betty and grandmother of Joy and Amy.

Also survived by two great grandchildren Betty and Connor Mohr.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ronald Thomas, Sr. and her parents.

Services were held Friday, January 5, 2007 at Union Presbyterian Church in Luling at 10 a.m.
