Fellow members of the St. John the Baptist Parish School Board and school administrators held a special dinner for out-going school board member Elexia Henderson, and presented her with an honorary plaque, on the day of the December board meeting. 

Henderson has served on the school board for the past four years, representing District 2, which encompasses the areas of Garyville and Mt. Airy. 

She lost her bid for re-election in October 2006.  She will complete her term at the end of this year.
