LAPLACE-A Domino’s Pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint by two unidentified suspects on Wednesday night.

Mike Tregre, spokesperson for St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office, said a call was made to Domino’s to have a pizza delivered to an address in the 2000 block of Yorktown Drive in LaPlace.

&#8220Upon arrival, the delivery driver exited his vehicle to deliver the pizza when two black male subjects approached him from both the front and back. The subject behind him placed a gun to the side of his neck and ordered the driver to the ground. The subject in front took the pizzas,” Tregre said.

In the victim’s statements to police, he said he complied with their demands. The gunman then stole an undisclosed amount of cash from his pockets and the suspects fled on foot.

Police are investigating the possibility that the robbery was a setup.

Det. Sgt. Royal Burke is continuing his investigation at this time and asks that anyone with information contact SJSO at 985-652-09514.
