RESERVE — Riverside’s boys soccer won their first game of the season in a road trip to take on Hammond High last week.

Jesse LeBlanc provided all of Riverside’s offensive output in this one, despite an aggressive Hammond defensive effort while the Riverside goalkeeper kept the Rebel net, allowing the one goal for the Tornados late in the second period.

The Lady Rebels also made the trip to Hammond, where they fell by a score of 4-1. But the Riverside girls squad got back on track this past Tuesday with a 7-4 win over Ecole Classique. In that one, Heidi Garcich led the Lady Rebs in scoring for a 7-4 win.

The win over the Lady Spartans put the Lady Rebels at 1-3 for the season thus far.
