VACHERIE-Stephanie Champagne Joseph,51, of Vacherie on Wednesday, November 22, 2006. She was the daughter of the late Annie Bell Champagne and James Ross and mother of LaTanya Champagne of Gramercy, Lathaniel (Yywanna) Christopher Champagne and Brandon Weber of Reserve.

She was the sister of Mary Lee Nelson, Augustine (Gerald) Rome, Gloria (Rudolph) Naricisse of Vacherie, Brenda Champagne of Donaldsonville, Dorine (Jessiner) Smith, Terry Ross, Melinda (Arnold) Howard, Patricia (June) Thomas, Amanda (Leo) Simon, Jamesetta Ross, Nettie (John) Grows, and Carolyn Ross of Vacherie, Godfrey (Barbara) Lawrence Moody, Hernam (Dorothy) Bright, John Lucas and Calvin Champagne.

He is preceded in death by sibling August Celestin, 2 sisters-in-law Clementine Lucas and Charlene Bright and a cousin, niece and two nephews.

She was the grandmother of Kendall Vedol Jr. and niece of Joseph Cahmpagne and Mable Carter. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, four godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friend.

Services were held Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11. a.m. from the St. James Catholic Church in St. James.

Albert

GRAMERCY_ Freddie Davis Albert Jr., 37, of Gramercy on Nov. 28, 2006. He was the son of Cara Lee Gaines Barney and the late Freddie D. Albert Sr. and the fiancée of Uanya Dennis.

He was the father of Tevin Phillips. Fredrina Wallace, Dontrell Hill, Freddi Albert III and Ashanti Albert. He was the grandson of the late Irma and Junius Gaines and Velma and Ernest Albert Sr.

Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.

Services will be held Monday Dec. 4, 2006 from Evergreen Baptist Church in Paulina at 11 a.m. Visitation before services starting at 9 a.m.

EDGARD-Lloyd J. &#8220Throat” &#8220Yogi” Borne Sr., 60, of Edgard on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006. He was the son of Florence Edward Borne and the late Roger Borne Sr. and husband of Theresa Pierce Borne for 35 years.

He was the father of Lloyd &#8220Jake” Borne Jr. and wife Tiffany of Hahnville, Tammy and Monica Borne of Edgard and guardian of Juwan Batiste.

He was the grandfather of Terry and Dorniya Vinnett, Torin Borne, great-grandfather of Tiere Vinnett.

Also survived by siblings ad their spouses, Charity (Melvin) Bovie, Ronald (Rosee) of Edgard, Laura (Charles) Brown of Maryland, Roger Jr. (Pearl), Herbert of Bridge City, Henry (Dianne) of Baton Rouge, Mark (Shawan), Davis (Evelyn) of Avondale, Gordon (Kim) of Gramercy, Walter (Amy) Borne of Vacherie and the late Judy Borne.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 2 from St. John the Baptist Church in Edgard at 11 a.m. Visitation from 9 a.m. to start of services.
