The Lady Rams basketball squad opened up their season schedule with a hot offensive performance against Pheonix as Kayla Morris scored 18 to lead all scorers and Jada Fiffe added 16 more to take the 53-21 win.

It was all WSJ in the first quarter as the Pheonix squad was held scoreless until the second quarter. while the Lady Rams took an 8-0 lead.

Both teams picked it up heading toward halftime, but the WSJ squad stayed ahead and used a defensive effort that would allow only 11 second half points to coast to the final 53-21 win.

Destani Comminie and Tranell Mitchell each contributed to the victory with eight and six points respectively.

The Lady Eagles also picked up a 54-45 win over Hanson Memorial earlier this week and currently stand at 2-2 on the season.
