Woman sought after $50,000 theft from truck stop in St. Rose

RESERVE-An employee of Riverbend Palace Casino in Reserve who stole over $52,000 and business records is wanted by St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Elizabeth Williams, 24, of LaPlace stole the money on October 21, 2006 from the casino along with some shift records and reports. The reports stolen were in reference to the money taken from the business.

Wiliams had been working as a cage cashier between both of Riverbend Palace casino sites in Reserve and St. Rose. Her last known address was 508C Revere Dr. in LaPlace.

Williams is about 230 pounds and 5’5” with black hair and brown eyes with a medium complexion.

Lisa Triche, a manager of Riverbend Palace Casino, said, &#8220Security cameras caught Williams on tape as she went around to the machines and emptied them and then left the premises.”

&#8220The security guard realized Williams had left after someone came looking for change at the casino. When seeing that Williams was not in the building the guard immediately reported it to the sheriff’s office,” Triche said.

Williams registered vehicle is a Green 1994 Ford Explorer with license plate number OIN780.
