GARYVILLE-Lillie Chaney Tollerson ,63, of Garyville on Oct. 21 2006 at Riverlands Healthcare Center in Lutcher.

She was the daughter of the late Wallace Chaney and Hazel LaGrange

She is survived by siblings, Richard Jackson (Gladys), Audrey Weston and Hazel Franklin (Jerome) and devoted friend Robert Picou.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Wallace Jr., William and Leon Chaney.

Also survived by nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Services were held Thursday Oct. 26, 2006 at 10 a.m. from Greater New Plymouth Rock Baptist Church in Reserve

Davis

PAULINA – Irvin E. Davis, 77, died October 20. He was the husband of Cheryl Woods Davis.

He is survived by children Janice Williams, Reginald and Gregory Davis, Deana Woods, Queena Alexander, Dervin Davis and Latasha Gant.

He is also survived by siblings Myrtle Gauff, Herman and Charles Farlough, and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on October 28 at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Paullina with interment in Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.

Dukes

BOUTTE – Leola Madear Dukes, 68, died October 20. She was the daughter of the late Daisy Edwards and Joseph Sandolph, Sr.

She is survived by children Monica Baloney, Teddy and Leonard Dukes, Jr. She is also survived by sister Ada Coleman and a host of friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by siblings Joseph Sandolph, Jr., Octave Williams, and Emma Tillman.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on October 20 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boutte, with interment in St. Mary Cemetery of Boutte.

Holmes

NEW SARPY-Danny Holmes,55, of New Sarpy, on Monday Oct. 23, 2006 at his home.

He was the husband of Mattie Bell Holmes, son of Alzina Holmes and father of three children, Danielle, Danny Jr. and Ida Lynette Holmes of St. Rose.

He was the brother of Lawrence Holmes of Fort Walton, FL Lloyd Holmes of St. Rose, Wilfred Holmes of Stone Mountain, GA and Ida, Gordon, Carl and Greta Holmes of New Sarpy.

Also survived by two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by father Lawrence Holmes and brothers Kirk and Willie Holmes

Services were held on Friday Oct 27, 2006 at 11 a.m. from St. Matthew Baptist Church in New Sarpy.

LeBranche

Loriane Duhe LeBranche, 80, of Montz, on Thursday Oct. 19 2006 in Jefferson.

She was the mother of Larry LaBranche and wife Phyllis and Joey LeBranche and wife Marsha.

She was sister to Dorothy Labranche, Yvonne Richoux, Catherine Weber, Alton and Lloyd Duhe.

Also survived by grandchildren, Corey, Nicole and April LeBranche and Holly Troxler and great grandchildren Bryce and Tristan Troxler.

Services were held Saturday Oct. 23, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco at 10 a.m.

Lee

LAPLACE-Donice M. Lee, 79, of LaPlace, on Tuesday Oct. 17, 2006. She was the mother of Annie and Elmo Lee, Augustine Moses Washington, Sally Ann Smith, and Doris and Henry Moses. And sister of Laura Mae Bullock, Lela Mae Moses, Arnetha Weatherspoon, Lionel, O.J. and E.J. Moses.

Also survived by 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will be held Saturday October 28, 2006 at 11 a.m. from St. Matthew Baptist Church, 604 E S Johnson Street in New Sarpy

She was preceded in death by parents Annie Mae Coney and Ollie Moses and husband Arthur Lee.

Lumar

EDGARD-Joseph &#8220Boogie” Lumar of Edgard, on Wednesday October 25, 2006 at River Parishes Hospital in LaPlace.

He was the husband of Mary Etta Mitcell Lumar and father and father-in-law of Dana Joseph and Danielle Harvey Lumar and grandfather of Dirrell Michelle. He was the son of the late Alvin Gauthier and Ceola Lumar.

He was the brother of Patricia Populis, Davis, James &#8220Kippy” Lumar and Allen Gauthier of Edgard. Whitney Lumar of McKinney, TX, Janet Favorite of Laplace and the late Fedorall Lumar, Barbara Dean Lumar, and Mark Gauthier.

Also survived by a host of sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces nephews, relatives and friends.

He was a veteran of the U.S. army and was employed with a number o f companies, including

Marathon Oil Refinery, Port of South LA, and St. John Parish School System.

Services will be held Saturday Oct. 28, 2006 at 11 a.m. at St. john the Baptist Catholic Church.

Narcisse

WALLACE-Vernita Louis Narcisse, 74, of Wallace and native of Vacherie, on Tues. Oct. 24, 2006 at Riverlands Health Center in Lutcher.

She was the mother of Gregory Louis Sr., Caudill Louis, Travis Narcisse, and Alvin Narcisse Jr.

She was the sister of Fannie Smith and the late Herman Louis

Also survived by 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren , nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be held October 28,2006 at 11 am. from the First Baptist Church in Vacherie.

Szubinski

NORCO-Rolan Sigmund &#8220R.B.” Szubinski, 74, of Paulina and native of Norco, on Thursday Oct. 19, 2006. Szubinski and his family lived in LaPlace for nine years.

He was a veteran of both the Air Force and the Army and served in the Korean War.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Miller Szubinski and fours sons and their spouses Roland S. Szubinski III (Paula), Teddy Szubinski (Julie), Frank Szubinski (Bernadette), Thomas &#8220Tommy Szubinski and a daughter Tammy S. St. Pierre and husband Ruven.

Also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchlildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by parents,Roland Szubinski Sr. and Anna &#8220Gene” Sherman Szubinski.

Services were held Saturday Oct. 21, 2006 in private and visitgation was at H.C. Alexander funeral home from 9-12 a.m.

Poche

Gabriel Dorrel &#8220Da” Poche, 91, of Paulina, on Tuesday Oct. 10, 2006 in Lutcher.

He was the husband of the late Lillian &#8220Lil” Trosclair Poche and son of the late Babriel U.Poche and Lotta Laiche poche.

He is survived by sister Rowena LaCoste, brother Wilmer Poche and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a U.S. Navy Motor Machinist 2nd class WWII veteran.

Services were held October 13, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina at 10 a.m.
