West St. John’s field position was so good last Friday night that the Rams needed less than 200 yards of total offense to score 50 points on East Iberville in a district 9-1A match-up.

That was, in good part, because of an opportunistic defense that held East Eberville to 65 total yards and caused a pair of fumbles and a pair of interceptions. On offense, WSJ’s Daron Bartholomew accounted for more than one hundred yards and five touchdowns during his playing time. Romell Howard and Tyler Lewis scored West St. John’s other two TDs, Lewis got his on a 14-yard burst in the first quarter and Lewis got his on a 2-yarder that ended scoring for the game in the third quarter. The Rams punted once in the game.

The win puts WSJ at 2-1 in district and in contention of the playoffs heading into a tilt this Friday with North Iberville whom they are tied with for second in 9-1A.
