LAPLACE – It’s time to send in your recipes for the annual L’Observateur Holiday Cookbook.

Grocery store gift certificates will be awarded to three cooks who are selected to win the top three prizes in the cookbook.

Those prizes are a $150 grocery store certificate from Gregg’s Neighborhood Market for first place; a $100 grocery store certificate from Frank’s SuperValue for second place; and a $75 grocery store certificate from Don’s Country Store for third place.

L’Observateur is accepting recipes from now until Nov. 2 for this year’s cookbook, which will be published in late November with our regular newspaper.

If you are selected for the cookbook, you will have your name and recipe printed, while three lucky winners will be picked for their top recipes, taking the three top spots and the prizes that go with them.

Recipes may be brought to the newspaper, e-mailed or faxed in.

You can drop your recipe off at our office at 116 Newspaper Drive., (off Old Hwy. 51), fax it in to 652-1633 or e-mail to lobcommunity@bellsouth.net.

Make sure to get your recipes in soon. The deadline is on November 2.
