She is survived by her mother and stepfather Adeline and A.P. Merkle children Tasha Sheets and Joshua Blount, and a grandchild, Dominick Sheets.

Also survived by sisters Brenda Keller and Kathleen &#8220Kitty” Dufrene and host of relatives and friends.

Services were held Tuesday Oct. 24, 2006 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie at 1 p.m.

Ordoyne

BATON ROUGE- A.J. Ordoyne Jr., 81, of Baton Rouge and a native of Reserve fter a long illness, on Oct. 20, 2006.

He was a WWII veteran and retired employee of State Farm Insurance.

He was the husband of Paula M. Ordoyne and the late Phyllis Louqe Ordoyne by first marriage. Surviving children are Janelle Ordoyne Volke and husband Carl of Houston, TX, Jay Ordoyne of Minneapolis, MN and A.J.Ordoyne III of Pensacola, FL.

Also survived by sister Betty Jean Boudreaux of LaPlace and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Ordoyne III and parents Ambrose Joseph, Sr. and Elodie Landry Ordoyne.

Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 24 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Resthaven

Garden of Memories in Baton Rouge.

Victor

RESERVE- Stella Mae Victor, 76, of Reserve, on October 18, 2006 at River Parishes Hospital.

She was the mother of Joyce Victor Singleton, and Terry Victor and his wife Elaine.

She is survived by sisters Marguerite Perriloux, Victoria Spencer, and Clarence Smith Sr.

Also survived by six grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by husband Paul Victor Sr., son Paul Victor Jr., parents Valentine Wallace and Noel Smith Sr., and siblings Noel Smith Jr. and Eleanor Batiste.

Services were held October 24, 2006 at our Lady of Grace Catholic Church at 11 a.m. in Reserve and burial in St. Peter Cemetery.

Brignac

Donald Francis Brignac, 76, of Lutcher and native of Ponchtoula, on October 20, 2006.

He was the husband of Odile Veron Brignac and father of Dr. Donald V. Brignac and wife Janet, David G. Brignac and wife Donna, Daniel M. Brignac and wife Marla, Susan B. Roussel and husband Danny, and Patricia B. Vargas and husband Jose.

Also survived by siblings, julina Brignac, Malcolm Brignac, Ruth Morales, Elaine Rebaldo and Myrdis Walton, 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Michael P. Brignac and Inez M. Poche Brignac and granddaughter Jessica Brignac.

He was a veteran of the U.s. Navy and reriere co-owner of Veron Provision Co. and Member of Knights of Columbus #1817.

Services were held Monday, October 23, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina at 10 a.m.
