RESERVE —The Lady Rebels moved to 3-1 in district play Tuesday over St. James despite falling in the third game after junior starter Marci Millet left the game with a sprained ankle.

After the injury, which adds to a list of nagging injuries by offensive leaders Heidi Garcich and Jessica Price, the Rebels had to regroup to take the final game by a score of 25-12.

The second match was a tough fought one as well as St. James battled all the way to the end before the Riverside squad snatched a 26-24 win. Nicole Porrier contributed throughout the evening with 32 assists and 13 digs. Stephanie LeBlanc stepped into the rotation during the absence of Millet and posted three aces to help finish off the Wildcats.

Thursday was supposed to be a pivotal game for the district when Riverside was scheduled to travel to St. Charles for the second meeting of the rival teams. But due to a lack of officials, the game was reset for this Thursday in the SCC gym.
