LAPLACE – Joseph &#8220Joe Joe” Jackson, 52, died October 10. He was the son of the late Thelma Bennett and Robert Louis Jackson, Jr.

He is survived by children Corey Jordan, Jolynn and Jernice Jackson and siblings Thelma Johnson and Margaret Bell.

He is also survived by aunt Gladys Jackson, devoted friends Mary Ann Anderson and Tyron Bates, and a host of other relatives.

He was preceded in death by siblings Robert Jackson, Jr. and Rosemarie Jackson Mosby.

Services will be held October 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in reserve with interment in St. John Memorial Garden, LaPlace.

Miller

GRAMERCY – Carl Robert Miller, 69, died October 4. He was the husband of Kathleen Rome Miller.

He is survived by children Charles Phillip miller, David Paul Miller, Denise Miller and husband James Young.

He was preceded in death by parents Carl Phillip and Irene Miller.

Services were held October 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina with interment in the church cemetery.

Montz

RESERVE- Elmore Joseph Montz, Sr., 94, of Lafayette, on Oct. 12, 2006. He was a native of Reserve and moved to Eunice with his wife Inez in 1940 where they owned and operated the Roosevelt Restaurant. They moved to Lafayette in 1987.

He is survived by his wife, Inez Guidry Montz, sons Elmore Jr., Jebby (Margaret), Charlie, (Charlene), Tommy (Carla) and daughters Virginia Ledoux, Ruth Nelson (Bruce), Madeline Mouton (Francis), Louise Veron (Ronnie) and Mimi Anderson (Steve).

Also survived by 31 grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers, Quincy and Floyd Montz and two sisters, Pearl MAdere and Yolande Landry.

Services were held in Lafayette, Oct. 14, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Lafayette.

Washington

EDGARD – Vivian Marie Washington, 55, died October 17. She was the wife of Ray Washington.

She is survived by mother Myrtle Gauthier August and daughters Celeste Mcree, Candace and Amber Washington. She is also survived by siblings Bernadette Narcisse, Rita August, Delores Steib, Irvin August, Jr., Lawrence August and a host of relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by father Irvin August. She was also preceded in death by brothers Chester and Ferdinand August.

Services will be held October 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in reserve with interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, LaPlace.
