ST. JAMES-Sallie Mae Jones Harris, 72, of St. James on Sept. 5, 2006. She was the wife of Murl Harris Sr. and mother of Nathaniel, Murl Jr. and Glenn Harris of Donaldsonville.

She was the sister of Nellie Ester Lorenza Steib and the Rev Sidney Jones, Sr. of St. James.

Services will be held Sept. 9, 2006 at 11:00 am at Mt Calvery Baptist Church in St. James.

Mumphrey

RESERVE-Lionel Earl Mumphrey Jr., 59, of Vacherie on Sept 3, 2006 at Thibodeaux Regional Hospital. He is the husband of Carol Cage Mumphrey and son of the late Lionel Sr. and Mildred Williby Mumphrey.

He is the father of four children Darron Cage, Owen, Maxwell and Farron Mumphrey. He is the brother of Donald, Ronald, Percy, Gerald, Julie, and Patricia Mumphrey and Tara Madison.

He is preceded in death by sister Peggy Johnson.

Also survived by five grandchildren, nieces, nephews sisters and brothers-in-law, and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be held Sat Sept 9, 2006 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church Magnolia Heights in Vacherie.

Poche

LUTCHER- Jospeh Raymond Poche, Sr., 79, of Lutcher, on Sept. 4, 2006. He is the husband of Lalita Englade Poche and father of five, one son, Joseph Raymond Poche, Jr. and four daughters Mary Gail Yeates, Renee Haase, Valerie Mays, and Mimi Keller..

He is survived by eight grandchildren, Josh and Monica Poche, Ray Yeates, Jennifer, Christy and Whitney Haase, and James and Kate Poche. Also survived by six brothers Fr. Louis A, Leon, Carol, Neal, Jay and Berchman Poche.

He was preceded in death by parents Louis Aristee and Lydia Keller Poche and brother Dr. Gayle Poche.

Burial mass was Sept. 7, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in

Paulina at 11:00 am

Roux

LULING-Delmire Andrew Roux, 90, of Luling, on September 4, 2006. He is the husband of Amy Zeringue Roux. He is father to Jeffrey A. Roux and wife Jara, Ursin Louis Roux and wife Mollie, Retta Ann Roux Loupe and husband Russell, and Regina Marie Roux Egle Matherne and husband Frank.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ursin Louis Roux and Eva Champagne Roux and sister Velma Roux.

He is survived by sisters Earline Roux Mongrue, Villa Roux Kinler and brother, Roy Roux. Also survived by grandchildren Cade, Jason and Justin Roux, Rhiney Loupe Hampton, Rhea Loupe Dufrene, Traci Egle Dufrene, and Paul Egle.

He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services were held Thursday Sept. 7, 2006 at 11:00 am atSt. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.

Smith

CONVENT-Eunice &#8220Shirley” Smith, 69, died Sept. 2 2006 at Regency Hospital in Covington. She is the wife of Willie Smith Sr. and daughter of the late Albert and Helen Smith.

Mother to Willie Jr. and wife Thyra, Stanley and wife Gwendolyn, Royal and wife Tracy, and Henten Carter of Convent. Leonard and wife Lorraine of Vacherie and Lisa Knight of Garyville.

She is survived by a number of siblings Eunic Sepp, Rose Lee Cushenberry, Elvina Lane, Lawrence Smith, Frank Lane, Mickey Smith, Benjamin Smith, Gerald Smith Michael Smith and the late Margarite Blade.

Also survived by Delores Jackson, Margerette Elder, Matthew Smith, Percy Lane, Johnnie Lane, Melvin Lane, Albert Smith and Albert Smith again.

Also remembered by her stepmother Victoria and numerous in-laws, relative and friends.

Services will be held at the Christian Assembly Full Gospel church, 42185 Hwy 941, Gonzales, LA Sept. 9 2006 at 11:00 am and visitation at the church will be starting at 10:00 am.
