St. Charles makes various drug arrests

ST. CHARLES – It was a busy Sunday for St. Charles Parish deputies as they were able to remove three alleged drug offenders from the streets, two in St. Rose and one from the Luling area, Sheriff Greg Champagne reports.
Constance Usey, 37, was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by St. Charles deputies conducting a traffic stop. Officers discovered Usey to be wanted on an outstanding warrant in St. Charles Parish. A search revealed Usey to also be in possession of Oxycodone. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute a schedule II controlled substance.
Jamal Jones, 22, 48 Carriage Lane, Destrehan, was stopped by officers for loitering near First St. in St. Rose. Further investigation of the subject revealed Jones to be in possession of cocaine. Jones was also arrested for possession of a schedule II substance.
Officers made a second drug arrest in St. Rose on LA 50 after discovering a St. Rose man to be in possession of Hydrocodone and Alprazolam, both controlled substances.
Samuel Suarez, 35, 4 Sycamore Ln., St. Rose was charged with illegal possession of a schedule IV controlled substance as well as prohibited acts for carrying a controlled substance in an unmarked container.
