HAHNVILLE – A Boutte woman was arrested Monday night in Hahnville on multiple charges including aggravated battery and cruelty to a juvenile St. Charles Sheriff’s deputies report.
Lydia J. Breaux, 23, 200 Boutte Estates Drive, was also charged simple criminal damage to property and resisting an officer after an altercation with a 22 year-old Marrero man who is also the father of the Breaux’s child.
Breaux managed to pull the radio out of the dashboard of the victim’s car in an attempt to strike him, Sheriff Greg Champagne reported. She then struck the victim with a ratchet and bit him several times on the hand. Breaux was holding her infant child the entire time of the incident.
St. Charles deputies discovered that Breaux was also wanted on four separate traffic attachments in St. Charles. She was ordered to serve five days jail-time for the issued attachments.
Breaux is currently being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility on $65,250 bond.
