RESERVE – Barbara Boudreaux Braud, 79, a native of reserve and a resident of Luling, died July 15.
She was the wife of the late Dayton Adam Braud.
She is survived by daughters Kathy Ayme and Jane Madere.
She is also survived by siblings Beverly Keller, Mary Duhe, Iris Rousse, Gail Castay, Paul and Dale Boudreaux.
She was preceded in death by parents Noah Boudreaux, Sr. and Emma Ory Boudreaux.
She was also preceded in death by siblings Katherine, Ory, Noah, Jr., and Donald Boudreaux.
Services are July 19 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Luling with interment in St. Charles cemetery.

HAHNVILLE – Norward Champagne, 86, died July 12. He was the husband of Lois Champagne.
He is survived by children Ave Griffin, Belinda Conner, Charlitarage Edwards, Tony, Terry, Don, Austin and Demetrius Champagne.
He is also survived by brother Martin Champagne.
He was preceded in death by parents Elise Desborne and Calice Champagne.
He was also preceded in death by siblings Doris Gross, Ada Orlidge, Louis, Clayward, Claude, Owen, Calice and Charles Champagne.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. July 19 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville with interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft.

DES ALLEMANDS – Mable Hills, 78, a native and resident of Des Allemands, died July 12.
She is survived by children Marie Gibson, Ronald and Michael Hills.
She is also survived by sister Cora Joseph, devoted friend Verna Major, 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents Clementine Lacy and Alex Griffin. She was also preceded in death by brother Alex Griffin II.
Services were held July 17 at Antioch Baptist Church with interment in Shell Mound Cemetery, Des Allemands.

GRAND POINT – Beatrice Louque “Bat” Schexnayder, 91, died July 13 at St. James Hospital. She was the wife of Yolande Schexnayder.
She is survived by children James and Florence Schexnayder, Nelson and Rose Schexnayder, Carol Schexnayder, Mary Jane and Lawrence Becnel, Esta Oubre and Dolores and Skinny Catoire.
She is also survived by siblings Elda St. Pierre, Honorine Cotham and Prentice Louque.
She was preceded in death by parents Arnard and Louise LeBlanc Louque.
She was also preceded in death by siblings Hermina St. Pierre, Isabell Bourgeois, Perry, Hennis, Noe, Kearney and Lester Louque.
Services were held July 17 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment in the St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.

VACHERIE – Aubin J. “Rooney” Tassin, Jr., a native of Wallace and resident of Vacherie died July 14 at his residence.
He is survived by siblings Roy and Anna Tassin, Roger and Janice Tassin, Elie and Barbara Tassin and Louise T. and George Faucheux.
He was preceded in death by parents Aubin and Marie Tassin.
Services are 11:00 a.m. July 19 at St. Phillip Catholic Church, Vacherie with entombment in the church mausoleum.

ST. CHARLES – Gene L. Vaden, 80, died July 13. He was the husband of the late Anna Fasolino Vaden.
He is survived by children Nora Vaden Holmes and Dean Vaden and mark Mezzullo.
He is also survived by siblings Ethel Vaden Hite and Oneita Vaden.
He was preceded in death by parents John Robert and Mattie Sue Vaden.
He was also preceded in death by brother Robert Vaden.

BRIDGE CITY – Charles Isadore Young, 77, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Bridge City, died at his residence July 13. He was the husband of Delphine Duronsiet.
He is survived by children Charles Young, Linda Blazio, Gilda Sneed, Anthony Darrell, Todd Young, and Pamela Carter.He is also survived by sisters Anita Kennedy and Agnes Cooper.
He was preceded in death by parents Mack and Sylvia Pierre Young.
He was also preceded in death by brother Milton Young and sisters Mildred Johnson and Clara Hamilton.
