BATSON

NORCO – Aubrey Merrell Batson, Jr., 51, a resident of Luling, died July 4. He was the husband of Elaine Peters Batson.
He is survived by father Aubrey Batson.
He is also survived by daughter Mindi Batson and a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by mother Sylvia Mercedes Batson.
He was also preceded in death by brother William Batson and sisters Sue Tesch, Anita Gaubert and Mary Massengale.
Services were held July 7 at Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with cremation to follow.

CAMBRE
LUTCHER – Jacob Earl Cambre, 84, a resident of Lutcher died June 30 at his son’s home in Gramercy.
He was the husband of the late Mary Lou Carona Cambre.
He is survived by children Jacob, Randy, Ricky, Sandra, Ched, and Nancy.
He is also survived by sister Yvette and grandchildren Denton, Landon, Kayla, Brooke, Chase, Christopher, Branson, Brice, Brock, Christian, Casey, Shane and Brennan Cambre.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stanislaus Henry Cambre and Lilia Brignac Cambre.
He was also preceded in death by brothers O’ Neal and LeRoy Cambre and sister Gertrude Coignard.
Funeral Services were held July 3 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services in Lutcher with interment in St. Joseph Cemetary in Paulina.

JACOB
LAPLACE – Shirley Haydel Jacob, 82, a native of Lyons and a resident of LaPlace, died July 4. She was the wife of the late Robert Jacob.
She was survived by children and stepchildren Bobbie Keating, Cynthia and Tommy Madere, and Robert Jr. and Mary Jacob.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services were held July 6 at Millet Guidry Funeral Home with interment in St. John memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
LANDRY
GARYVILLE – Lucille Landry, 99, a native of Donaldsonville and a resident of Vacherie died June 30 at her residence.
She is survived by son Louis Landry. She is also survived by nieces Mona Becnel, Edna Alexander and nephew Joseph Christy as well as a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents Georgianna and Julien Landry. She was also preceded in death by siblings Edna Neville, Louise Boudreaux, Naomi LeBlanc, Sadie Christy, June, Claudia, Ulysses, Rapheal, Carl, Clinton, Ferdinand, Camille and Charles Landry.
Services were held July 6 at St. James Catholic Church with interment in Ascension Catholic Church Cemetery.
