LUTCHER – Rita Mae LeBlanc Boe, 73, a native of Marrero and a resident of Lutcher, died May 30. She was the wife of Amedee Boe.
She is survived by children Charles “C.J.” (Lisa Bourgeois) Boe, Barbara (Ronald) Troxclair, Sylvia (John) Clark, Penny (Clyde) Schexnayder and Brenda (Dexter) Millet.
She is also survived by siblings Dorothy Saladino and Odile Roper, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lemmy and Lillian LeBlanc.
Services were held June 2 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.
DEMOULIN
LAPLACE – Susan Bateman Demoulin, 58, a native of Franklinton and a resident of LaPlace, died May 31. She was the former wife of Henry Glenn Demoulin.
She is survived by her children Michelle “Shelly” Demoulin (Scott) Lemoine and Jason J. Demoulin.
She is also survived by her mother Mary Eleanor Louderback McIntyre, sister Donna Bateman (Roger) Powell and grandchildren Kaitlyn Marie Lemoine, Brandon Paul Lemoine, Nicholas Jordan Lemoine and Courtney Elizabeth Lemoine.
She was preceded in death by her father James Jason Bateman.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. Maranatha Church of God, Baton Rouge, with a private interment.
Charlet Funeral Home of Clinton is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. at the church.
FOBB
GARYVILLE – Josephine T. Fobb, 56, a native and resident of Garyville, died May 25. She was the wife of Larry Fobb Sr.
She is survived by her children Larry Jr., Courtney and Achanta Fobb.
She is also survived by her mother Mable Taylor, siblings Kelly and Irene Taylor, Elnora Freeman, Dora Belvin, Joyce Gautreaux and Audrey Snyder, daughter-in-law Anedra Fobb, parents-in-law Mr. and Mrs Herfert Fobb and a grandchild Ryan Fobb.
She was preceded in death by her father Herman Deroncelay.
Services were held June 1 at Rising Star Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment in Zion Travelers Cemetery, Reserve.
GARCIA
LAPLACE – Alvaro Gaspar Garcia, 72, a native of Havana, Cuba and a resident of LaPlace, died May 31. He was the husband of Maria Elena Garcia.
He is survived by his children Alvaro Garcia, Mel Clement, Elena Garcia and Maria Victoria Coy.
He is also survived by his mother Celerina Garcia, sister Maria Lusia Tabe, sister-in-law Dions Garcia and grandchildren Malena, Christina, Diego, Alex and August.
He was preceded in death by his father Aquilino Garcia and brother Aquilino Garcia Jr.
Services were held June 2 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment in St John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace.
GREEN
CONVENT – Regina Marie Green, 40, a native and resident of Convent, died May 31. She was the daughter of Alfredia Green.
She is survived by siblings Patricia, Doris, Bobby Ray, Robert Earl, Leonard and Celestain Green, Theresa Morris, Carolyn Albert, and Mildred Perkins.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law Althea and Wanda Green, brothers-in-law Alexander Morris and Kerry Albert, two godchildren and devoted friends Lynette Vancourt and Lester McKinley.
She was preceded in death by siblings Rosetta and Alfred Green.
Services will be held today at noon at Young Pilgrim Baptist Church, Convent, with interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Convent.

LOUQUE
PAULINA – Stanley P. Louque, 46, a native of Paulina and a resident of Walker, died May 28. He was the son of the late Melvin “Ying” and Ruth P. Louque.
He is survived his daughter Ashley Louque.
He is also survived by siblings Brenda (Reed) St. Pierre, Greg Louque and Dalton (Rose) Louque.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Rene and Anne Poche, and Alcee and Louise Louque.
Services were held June 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment in the church cemetery.
NEWMAN
LAPLACE – Christian “Cookie” Newman, 3, a native and resident of LaPlace, died May 30. He was the son of Ronnie and Holly Newman.
He is survived by his brother Bryson Newman.
He is also survived by his grandparents Stephen and Janice Fraisse, William and Candy Newman and Roxane and Charles Madere.
Services were held June 2 at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery, LaPlace.
WASHINGTON
NEW SARPY – Gregory Charles Washington Sr., 50, a native and resident of New Sarpy, died May 28. He was the son of Lovely L. Washington and the late Rev. Clarence Washington.
He is survived by his children Damion Sr., Gregory Jr. and Ernay Washington and Christopher Murphy.
He is also survived by siblings Lawrence, Wilbert, David, Anthony and Mary Washington and Lillie Jackson and grandchildren Damion Jr., Devin and Paris Washington.
He was preceded in death by siblings Larley Mitchell, Clarence, Earl, Andrew, Alexander and Solomon Washington.
Services will be held today at St. Matthew Baptist Church, New Sarpy, with interment in New Sarpy Cemetery, New Sarpy.
WASHINGTON
VACHERIE – Jensen “Smoke” Deval Washington, 22, a native and resident of Vacherie. He was the son of Arlene Washington and Leonard Braxton.
He is survived by his son Jaron Bell.
He is also survived by siblings David, Larry, Derek and Marie Washington, Jalacsay and Jellel Greenup and Jonette Charles, grandparents Gloria Braxton, Leona and Charles “Dutch” Washington, and great-grandparent Eunice Celestin.
Graveside services will be held today at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Vacherie.
