RESERVE – Verna Mae Cosey, 74, a native and resident of Reserve, died April 29.
She is survived by her children Robert Porter, Ann Marie White and Wendy Smith, Merkadell, Veris, Andrew and Angelina Cosey.
She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, four godchildren and two sons-in-law.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Rescue Mission Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery, Reserve.
Hobson Brown Funeral Home of Garyville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. at the church.
DENNIS
NORCO – Georgine Dennis, 81, a resident of Norco, died May 4. She was the wife of the late Louis Dennis Sr.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Robert.
She is also survived by siblings Marylee Berthelot, Henry and Leroy Bossier, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son Louis Dennis Jr.
Services will be held today at noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, St. Rose.
H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. at the church.
DONALD
VACHERIE – John Lawrence “Johnny” “June” Donald Jr., 69, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Vacherie, died May 2. He was the husband of Flora Louper Donald.
He is survived by his children John L. Donald III, Duane Anthony (Sharmain) Donald and Annette (Bernell) Gaskin.
He is also survived by siblings Flora Mae Donald, Timothy (Rose) Donald and Lorraine Poche (MacAurthur) Wehster, father-in-law Melvin Louper Sr., six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Hilda Adams Donald and a child Rene Marie Donald.
Services will be held May 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church mausoleum.

EVANS
METAIRIE – Jerry Mount Evans, 43, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie, died April 29. He was the son of Louise Evans.
He is survived by his siblings Don and Steve Evans, and Rita Ritter.
Services were held May 4 at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.
HYMEL
LULING – Mildred Troxler Hymel, 83, a native of Taft and a resident of Luling, died May 2. She was the wife of the late Jules J. Hymel.
She is survived by her children Nelwyn (Gerald) Lorio and LeDaine (Lori) Hymel.
She was preceded in death by her parents Luke and Edna Bourgeois Troxler and siblings Eunice Troxler, Derrill Troxler and Russell Troxler.
Services were held May 3 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, with interment in St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.
RYBISKIE
EDGARD – Ora Belle “Mom Bell” “Runt” Rybiskie, 75, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Edgard, died April 28. She was the wife of Walter “Moso” Rybiskie.
She is survived by her children Oralee (Robbie) Duke, Walter (Catherine) Rybiskie, David (Joyce) Rybiskie, Elizabeth (Gregory) Joseph and Corliss Rybiskie-Williams.
She is also survived by siblings Eva Stewart, Cornelius Isreal and Rev. Solomon Williams, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Sophia Howard Williams and siblings Leona Cage, Ethel E.B. Johnson, Lawrence, Matthew, Herbert and Rev. Thomas Williams Jr.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment in the church mausoleum.

SUMMERS
RESERVE – Justin D. “Turtie” Summers, 20, a native and resident of Reserve, died May 2. He was the son of Troy and Shirlyn Summers and Wanda and Chris Rowe.
He is survived by his siblings Jennifer Vicknair, Jodie and Taryn Destiny Summers, and stepsiblings Adam and Rachel Rowe.
He is also survived by grandparents Oscar and Jean Vicknair, Pat Vicknair, Bob Berges and Ledaine and Kitty Summers.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother Lois Summers.
Services were held May 5 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with a private interment.
WHITE
PARADIS – Leola Mae White, 75, a native and resident of Paradis, died April 27. She was the daughter of the late Pearl Williams and Cleveland White Sr.
She is survived by her son Brent White and his wife Karen.
She is also survived by siblings Harold G. (Anita) White, Morris White, Wilbert (Julia) White, Rosalind Johnson and Ethel Cross, sister-in-law Theresa White, grandchildren Sharday Renea and Tevin E. White, godchild Marvin Sandolph, aunt Carrie Sandolph, nephew Donnie White and niece-in-law Carol White.
She was preceded in death by siblings Lois Gibbs and Cleveland White Jr.
Services were held May 4 at First Baptist Church, Paradis, with interment in the church cemetery.
