LAPLACE – Angelica Asencio, 89, a native of Puerto Rico and a resident of LaPlace, died Feb. 17.
She is survived by her daughters Sandra (Jack) Fernandez and Juanita Rivera.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Martin, John and Brandon Fernandez and Joedy and Stephanie Rivera and great-grandchildren Victoria and Oliveah Fernandez.
Services were held Feb. 21 at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
BREAUX
RESERVE – Mable D’Arensbourg Breaux, 93, a native of Lucy and resident of Reserve for 73 years, died Feb. 19. She was the wife of the late Wesley Breaux, and mother of Joy Almerico, Gary and Phil Breaux.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11:30 a.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. Arrangements by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home.
DUHE
LAPLACE – Robert Clay Duhe, 83, a native and resident of Reserve, died Feb. 18. He was the father of Georgette Laviolette.
He was also the son of the late Evariste and Irene Duhe, and brother of Gilbert, Allen and Jerry Duhe, Ruby Remondet, Phyllis Duhe, and the late Richard, Daniela and Lance Duhe, Bessie Perry and Anna Rose Vicknair.
He is also survived by one grandchild.
Services are today at noon in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
JACOB
RESERVE – Julius “Jake” Jacob Jr., 83, a native and resident of Reserve, died Feb. 19. He was the husband of Doris Duhe Jacob.
He was also the son of the late Julius and Pauline Jacob, and brother of Zelma Vicknair and Joseph Lee Jacob. He was raised by Ernest and Margaret Landry. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a World War II veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star.
Services are today at 1:30 p.m., at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 11 a.m. at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home.
RAPP
LAPLACE – Roger L. Rapp, 84, a native of New Orleans and resident of Laplace for 53 years, died Feb. 19. He was the husband of Jean Hartman Rapp.
He was also the uncle of Janice Schiro and great-uncle of James Schiro.
Services were Feb. 21 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
REYNAUD
LUTCHER – Dorothy Woods Reynaud, 89, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Feb. 19. She was the wife of the late William David Reynaud.
She is survived by her son and his wife Wilbur Woods and Deborah Smith Reynaud.
She is also survived by her grandson and his wife David Fuqua and Nicole Fassbender Reynaud.
She was preceded in death by her parents Durald Fuqua Woods and Emma Booth Woods and grandchildren William Brooks Reynaud and Ellen Woods Reynaud.
Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, Lutcher, with interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Paulina.
Rose Lynn Funeral Services are in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
ROUSSEL
GRAMERCY – Dorothy Roddy Roussel, 90, a resident of Gramercy, died Feb. 17. She was the wife of the late Ecton Joseph Roussel.
She is survived by her children Kerry Joseph Roussel, Sharon (Thomas) Payne and Kevin (Jane) Roussel.
She is also survived by her sibling Symbol Wee Ordeneaux, grandchildren Todd Phillip Roussel, Scott Michael Roussel, Jennifer Roussel, Courtney Payne Gupton, Amy Hamilton Payne, Meagan Christine Payne, Kimberly Ann Payne, Matthew Simon Roussel, Alison Elizabeth Roussel and Adam Christopher Roussel and great-grandchildren Kaleb Michael Roussel, Alexa Elizabeth Roussel, Ashlyn Ray Austin and Edward Frank Austin III.
She was preceded in death by her parents Yancy Lawrence and Marie Bergeron Roddy and siblings Harry Yancy Roddy, Guy Frank Roddy, Earl Joseph Roddy and Kerman Joseph Roddy.
Services were held Feb. 20 at Sacred Heart Church, Gramercy, with interment in St. Peters Cemetery, Reserve.
