HAHNVILLE– It’s no wonder the Hahnville Tigers went 10-3 this season making it to the semi-finals round of the high school playoffs. They had five college caliber players starting on their offensive and defensive lines.

Following Destrehan’s signings at the school board office in Luling Wednesday, the five Tigers made it official by penning their names on scholarships to four schools in the Gulf South and one in Iowa.

Kentrell Lockett led the signings, commiting to attend Ole Miss next season. The 6’5” Lockett was an All-State defensive this passed season who led a defense that allowed an average of 23 points per game.

Joining him on the defensive side of the ball, defensive backs Kirkland Wilson, who is heading to Ellsworth Community College in Iowa, and Kemon Jacobs, who is going to Delta State in Mississippi. Also opting to go to Delta State, is offensive lineman Kevin Maddux. Fellow offensive lineman Sam Finn signed with Arkansas-Monticello.

Hahnville running back Terrance Isaac’s commitment to Southern Illinois makes six Tigers heading to the next level. Isaac, 5’10” 170-lb., rushed for this season for 1,178 yards on 199 carries and scored 8 touchdowns.
