PAULINA – Drozina Bernadette Boudreaux, 91, a native of Lutcher and resident of Baton Rouge, died Jan. 23. She was the mother of Janet Guedrey and Paul Boudreaux and the late Alvin Boudreaux Jr.
She was also the daughter of the late Emile Matherne and Elice LaGeaux, and sister of Ruth Remy.
Memorial services are set Jan. 30 at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina. Alexander Funeral Home of Lutcher in charge of arrangements.
CONNER
GARYVILLE – Levorna Mae Pete Conner, 63, a native of Garyville and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 20. She was the mother of Bettina Denis, Lori Conner, Levorna Clements, Geraldine, Joyce, Walter and Robert Boykins and Yolanda Matthews.
She was also the daughter of the late Morris Pete Sr. and Dorothy Fields, and sister of Pearl Remo, Lavinia Moore and Marcel Pete.
She is also survived by six grandchildren.
Services are today at 10 a.m., at Greater New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garyville, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions. Hobson Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
HAMILTON
LAPLACE – Mary “Nanan” Hamilton, 86, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 22. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Mack and Frances Hamilton, and sister of the late Celina, Ida, Willie, Joseph and Isaiah Hamilton and Rozilia Smith.
She is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m., at Providence Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at Providence Rest Haven Cemetery, LaPlace. Hobson Brown Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
MATHERNE
MANCHAC – Rhea Ann Matherne, 60, a native of Saginaw, Michigan and a resident of Manchac, died Jan. 21. She was the wife of Harry Wayne Matherne.
She is survived by her children Jody Lynn Matherne Forstall, Wayne Richard Matherne and Danny Ray Matherne.
She is also survived by her parents Clarence Richard and Rhea Mae Otis Richard, siblings Dixie Lee Callahan, Cindy Martin, Dianne Blak, Rhonda Pepera, Tammy Evans, Kim Sue Leuenberger, Todd, Mark, Dan and Tim Richard and grandchildren Cory Forstall and Ashley Forstall.
Services were held Jan. 27 at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula.
ZENO
GRAMERCY – Percy “Bozo, Iron Man” Zeno Sr., 74, a native of Gramercy and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 22. He was the husband of Jacquelyn Thomas Zeno and father of Percy Jr., Phyllis, Marc, Cedric, Quinetta Zeno and Anissa Poche.
He was also the son of the late Amos and Mary Ezidore Zeno, and brother of Lola Zeno, Melba Anderson and Emily Scott.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m., at Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina. Baloney Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
