LAPLACE – Kyle Jude Acosta, 34, a native of LaPlace and a resident of Prairieville, died Jan. 3.
He was the husband of Jennifer Mabrey Acosta.
He is survived by his children Elijah and Olivia Acosta.
He is also survived by his mother Lynne Laiche Acosta and siblings Bret Acosta, Ann Engnath and Joel Baer.
He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Acosta and grandparents Luciana and Joseph Acosta and Altheanne and Lawrence “Squint” Laiche Sr.
Services were held Jan. 6 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Laplace, with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
BARDELL
RESERVE – Henry Bardell Sr., 85, a native of Mt. Airy and a resident of Reserve, died Jan. 1.
He was the husband of Aleitha Bardell.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Henry Jr. and Anita Bardell.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Anitra and David Lopez and Brandi Bardell.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Elsie Allen, Thelma Granderson and Ella Mae Alexis.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

BUJOL
LULING – Virginia “Sista” Johnson Bujol, 85, a native of Luling and a resident of Marrero, died Dec. 30.
She was the wife of the late Roland Bujol.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jean and John Pickney Sr.
She is also survived by her siblings Rita Jenkins, Dorothy Harris, Estella Bush, Joseph, Anthony and Claude Eugene, grandchildren Joseph (Cyria), John Jr., Jonde L., Jonquel Pickney and Jamika (Kava) Rankins and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Estelle Johnson and siblings Fred and Charlie Johnson.
Services were held Jan. 5 at Fifth African Baptist Church, St. Rose, with interment in Providence Cemetery, Metairie.
FAYARD
MONTZ – Todd R. Fayard, 26, a native of Metairie and a resident of Montz, died Dec. 29.
He was the fiancé of Jennifer Turner.
He is survived by his son Patrick T. Fayard.
He is also survived by his parents Karen Burnthorne Fayard and Jackie Armstrong, siblings Shannon McFall, Sherry A. Taylor, Stacy and Sarah Armstrong, Jessica and Ricky Fayard Jr., aunts and uncles Cathy and Edward Roberts, Kelly Freeman and Albert Burnthorne, Jr., grandfather Albert Burthorne Sr. and cousin Ashley Freeman.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Patricia Burnthorne.
Services were held Jan. 5 at L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, Kenner, with interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

LAPLACE – Annabelle Vicknair Gaubert, 75, a native of Edgard and a resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 3. She was the wife of Irby Gaubert Sr.
She is survived by her children Cheryl (Manuel) Delaune, Carolyn (Glenn) Davis, Patricia (Danny) Schexnaydre, Donnie, Irby (Dawn) Jr. and Karen (fiancé Eric Cresse) Gaubert.
She is also survived by her siblings Raoul, Wallace, Nelson and Zephyrain Vicknair Jr., Doris Guillot, Jeanette Deocampo and Dora Ann Newsome, grandchildren Scott Rome, Jack Cali, Kevin Delaune, Ashlynn Schexnaydre, Darrin, Derrick, Eddie and Ricky Gaubert and great-grandchildren Lindsey, Mackenzie and Brant Delaune.
She was preceded in death by her parents Zephyrain and Dora Vicknair Sr., stepson Randall Gaubert and siblings Melvin Vicknair, Lillian Keating, Noelle Michel and Earline Larousse.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

LULING – Joyce Judith Arceneaux Hotard, 75, a resident of Luling, died Aug. 31. She was the wife of the late Herbert “Pete” Hotard.
She is survived by her children Anne Spell, Judy Moreau and Herb Hotard Jr.
She is also survived by her siblings Marie Schwalb, Ivy, Carl and Milton Arceneaux, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ivy and Roberta Arceneaux.

He is also survived by his mother Felicia Johnson and siblings Elton Johnson and Viola Bejole.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward Johnson and children Le Shon and Freddie Johnson.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and friends Ned Jolley and Linda White.

GARYVILLE – Albert Scott Sr., 95, a native and resident of Garyville, died Jan. 3. He was the husband of Thelma H. Scott.He is survived by his children Louis Scott Sr. and Albert (Gaynell) Scott Jr.
He is also survived by his siblings Mildred Norbert and Chester (Dorothy) Lee Sr., seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, cousin Ella W. Goudia and godchild Reginald Grace.
