ST. ROSE – Clara Marcella Cook, 92, a native of St. Rose and a resident of Harahan, died Dec. 6. She was the wife of the late William A. Cook Jr.

She is survived by her siblings Michael and Madeline Marcella and Marie Barnewold.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mark and Antoinette Bovi Marcella.

Services were held Dec. 12 at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

COOPER

HAHNVILLE – Alben P. Cooper Sr., 85, a native of Alexandria and a resident of Hahnville, died Dec. 10. He was he husband of the late Reba Labord Cooper.

He is survived by Ena Mae Bordelon, Lloyd Cooper, Joyce Baronne, Deborah Cooper, Shelley Cooper Smith, Alben P. Cooper Jr. and Martin Cooper.

He is also survived by a sister Doris Cooper, 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Anna Cooper, a son Flint Paul Cooper and a brother Irby Cooper.

Services were held Dec. 13 at Holy Rosary Church, Hahnville, with interment in the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft.

MONTZ

RESERVE – Carl J. Montz Sr., 93, a native and resident of Reserve, died Dec. 9. He was the husband of Lena Stein Montz.

He is survived by his children Betty (late Oswald) Duhe, Sandra Lasseigne, Carl (Judy) Montz Jr., Katherine (David) DeSilvey, Elizabeth (Douglas) Laiche, Perry Montz and Terry (Bridget) Montz.

He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents Pierre Rene and Marie Montz and seven brothers and sisters.

Services were held Dec. 12 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in the church cemetery.

SAVOIE

RESERVE – Elda Mae Luminais Savoie, 78, a native and resident of Reserve, died Dec. 11. She was the wife of the late Sidney Savoie Jr.

She is survived by her children Andrea Davidson and Pam Madere.

She is also survived by son and daughter-in-laws Eddie Davidson, Boggie Madere and Margaret Savoie, siblings Floyd Luminais, Helen

ST. PIERRE

GRAND POINT – Earline S. St. Pierre, 87, a native and resident of Grand Point, died Dec. 6. She was the wife of the late Donald J. St. Pierre.

She is survived by her sons Donald (Beverly) Jr., Richard (Judy) and Danny (Diane) St. Pierre.

She is also survived by a brother Yoland Schexnayder, grandchildren Cynthia, Ricky, Mark, Scott, Brian, Melissa, Jason, Paula, Shannon, Erin, Kimberly, Ryan and Jenny and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Mary Jane Kilburne Schexnayder, siblings Yola Louque, Alicia LeBlanc, Livonia St. Pierre, Pearl Lambert, Onizeme, Harold, Erwin, Earl and Linvington St. Pierre and daughter-in-law Audrey Guitreau St. Pierre.

Services were held Dec. 9 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.
