LAPLACE — How are we doing?

In L’Observateur’s continuing effort to better serve our readership, we invite you, our readers, to join us for a short coffee-and-chat at PJ’s Coffee House, 1808 W. Airline Hwy. in LaPlace (near Wal-Mart).

The event is set Thursday, Dec. 15, from noon to 2 p.m.

Tell us what you think of L’Observateur, offer ideas for stories, provide constructive criticism and give us suggestions on how we can be a better community newspaper, serving the River Parishes.

Any attendees will receive a six-month free subscription to L’Observateur. Current subscribers will receive the next six months free.

Plus, those attending can enter our drawing for a chance to win a $100 gasoline card, good at Big River Food and Fuel (formerly Holmes Food Mart), with 11 area Shell stations.

We will buy the coffee and you can discuss your ideas with the newspaper’s Publisher Kevin Chiri, Managing Editor Leonard Gray, Advertising Director Scott Madere and Circulation Director Keith Tullos.

L’Observateur has been in the River Parishes since 1913, and we hope to continue and improve upon our record of public service, fair and honest reporting and community leadership.

We look forward to your attendance and your comments.
