LAPLACE — Santa Claus is coming to town soon, to pick up his mail.

L’Observateur invites children in St. John the Baptist Parish, up to age 10, to write letters to Santa Claus, many of which will be published in the pages of L’Observater in our Dec. 17 edition, as may as space permits.

Meanwhile, Santa will take a little time to read through the letters and select his top three favorites. The children who write those top three letters will receive prizes of $50, $25 and $25 for their own Christmas shopping.

Letters must be received in time for Santa to read them by Dec. 13 at 5 p.m.

They may be mailed to Santa Letters c/o L’Observateur, P.O. Box 1010, LaPlace, LA 70069 or brought to our office at 16 Newspaper Drive, just off Main Street in LaPlace.
