LAPLACE – Myrna Lynn Davis, 40, a resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 20. She was the daughter of Clarence Belvin Sr. and Bertha Taturn.

She is survived by her daughter Kerstin J. Belvin.

She is also survived by her siblings Troy Michael Belvin Sr. and Pernell Robert, grandchild Kayleigh Belvin, stepfather Robert Tatum Sr. and stepmother Rosalind Belvin.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church, Montz, with interment in Providence Cemetery, LaPlace.

Bardell’s Mortuary of Mt. Airy is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. at the church.

NELSON

CONVENT – Victor Joseph Nelson Sr., 85, a native of Convent and a resident of St. James and New Orleans, died Nov. 21. He was the husband of the late Eunice Winchester Nelson.

He is survived by his children Berita Nelson Leonard, Victor Joseph Nelson Jr. and Nettle Faye Speak.

He is also survived by his siblings Norward Nelson and Lionel Nelson Jr., niece Sandra Lewis and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gus and Estella Nelson, siblings Paul, Lawrence, Louis and Raymond Nelson, Hilda Harris, Louvenia Scott, Clogia Branch and Josephine Nelson and a son Andrew Joseph Nelson.

Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment in the church cemetery.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Donaldsonville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 8 a.m. at the church.

PLACIDE

RESERVE – Paul &#8220Koo-Koo” Russell Placide Jr., 46, a native of Garyville and a resident of Reserve, died Nov. 19. He was the son of Paul Placide Sr. and Gladys Anderson Placide.

He is survived by his children Roderick, Kaylon and Paul Placide III, Alica Jackson, Cast Lee and Ilesha Verner.

He is also survived by his siblings Maxine (Edward) Robinson, Kellie Ann (Craig) Stewart and Todd Anthony Placide and his grandchildren Jazmyne and Jadiah Placide.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Budwin and Marie Placide, John and Elizabeth Kennard Telfair Anderson.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery, Reserve.
