NORCO – Rufus E. Cammon, 76, a native and resident of Norco, died Sept. 2. He was the son of the late Albert and Oletha Cammon.

He is survived by his children Sandra, Yolanda, Keith, Kelvin Arnold and Peter Cammon, Monique Martin and Karen Stokes.

He is also survived by his siblings Cecile Lasalle, Unice Lane, Josie Dennis, Rosa Mae Cheatman and Albert Cammon, 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Yvette Bering and siblings Emelda Wright, Addis Washington, O’Neal and Charlie Cammon.

Services will be held today at 2 p.m. at St. Mathew Baptist Church, New Sarpy. Interment was in Montz Memorial Cemetery, Montz on Sept. 8.

CAMPO

LULING – Selma Marie Blanchard Campo, 65, a resident of Luling, died Nov. 15. She was the wife of Norman Charles Campo.

She is survived by her children Karen Anne, Keith Paul and Chris Paul Campo.

She is also survived by her daughter-in-laws Sonia and Emily Campo, siblings Della Marcello, Edna Blanchard, Mary Albarado, Agnes Albarado, Beatrice Simoneaux and Adam Blanchard, half-sister Lucy Blanchard and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rosa Mabile Blanchard and Frank Blanchard.

Services were held Nov. 17 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, with interment in St. Charles Cemetery.

CAREY

NEW ORLEANS – Herman C. Carey, 81, a native and resident of New Orleans, died Nov. 11. He was the husband of Beulah Thomas Carey.

He is survived by a sister Eva Carey.

He is also survived by his brother-in-law Warren Thomas, sister-in-law Amy Thomas and two godchildren Elvin Ross and Benny Rideaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eva Shephard and Edgar Carey and siblings Lillian Taylor, Marion Pittman and Edgar Carey.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Hahnville, with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery, Hahnville.

FARLOUGH

LAPLACE – Harold Joseph Farlough Jr., 47, a native of LaPlace and a resident of Los Angeles, CA, died Nov. 9. He was the son of Marie C. Farlough Johnson and Harold Farlough Sr.

He is survived by his step-father Leo Johnson.

He is also survived by his siblings Joi (Bruce) Matthews, Carnalle (Gregory) Brown, Blayne Farlough and Renaldo Johnson.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve.

KELLY

ST. ROSE – Jessie J. Kelly, 80, a native of Good Hope and a resident of St. Rose, died Nov. 12. He was the husband of Gladys R. Kelly.

He is survived by his children Franshal, Branson, Ronica and Troy Kelly and Joyce Christie.

He is also survived by his siblings Evelyn Jones, Vivian Kenner, Shirley and Joseph Lane and Lillian Washington, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Olevia Sturks Lane and Jessie J. Kelly and siblings Mildred K. Pollard, Hazel J. Douglas, Herman Jones, Josephine Robertson, James, Beatrice and Leola Kelly.

Services were held Nov. 18 at Fifth African Baptist Church, St. Rose, with interment in Jefferson Memorial Garden Cemetery, St. Rose.

PITRE

ST. CHARLES – Randy M. Pitre, 45, a native of Metairie and a resident of St. John Parish and St. Charles Parish, died Nov. 8. He was the son of Rosemary Johnson Pitre and the later John Pitre.

He is survived by his son Randy M. Stata.

He is also survived by a brother and a companion Danielle Davidson.

Services were held Nov. 18 at Thibodaux Funeral Service, New Orleans, with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

SMITH

LAPLACE – Alvin R. Smith, 65, a native of Baton Rouge and Covington and a resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 16. He was the husband of Kathleen Ryan Smith.

He is survived by his children Kimberly S. Smith (Robert) and Mark C. Smith.

He is also survived by his brother Charles F. Smith Jr. (Frances) and his grandchildren Kayleigh, Keegan and Kierah Beth Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles F. Smith Sr. and Ollie Stanley Smith and siblings Stanley F. Smith, Harry B. Smith and Betty Smith Morgan.

Services will be held Nov. 20 at First Baptist Church, LaPlace, with a private interment.

TRENCH

WALLACE – Gwendolyn Goudia Trench, 55, a native of Wallace and a resident of Houma, died Nov. 15. She was the wife of Charles Trench Sr.

She is survived by her children Myyamann Dawson, Herbert Gautier, Kernell Gautier and Ahmaad Trench.

She is also survived by her mother Yvonne Walker Goudia, stepchildren Barrion Trench and Charles Trench Jr., and siblings Marsha Reed, Kernell Goudia, Virgil Goudia, Glenn Goudia and Dale Goudia.

She was preceded in death by her father Irvin Louis Goudia.

Services will be held today at noon at Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.
