GRAMERCY – It’s getting close to the holidays, which means there is a lot of shopping needing to be done. Local businesses in Gramercy are giving everyone a chance to attend their Christmas Open House Shopping Extravaganza on Sunday.

The Christmas Open House will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., hosted by 13 businesses located on Main Street. Participating businesses include Armand’s Main Street Café, Barbara’s Discount Catalogs, Bead-L-Bug Jewelry Design, Beauti-Control, Blanket-Rama, Café Perique, Chris’s Flowers and Gifts, Curves/Creative Monogramming, Jolie Vous, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Roussel’s Antiques, Jewelry and Gifts, Small Town Scents and Marvel Lynn Designs.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served at each business location, and prizes will be given away. In order to be eligible for a prize, visit the locations and get a stamp on a card and return it to Armand’s Main Street Café. The drawings will be held after 5 p.m. at the café.

Chris’s Flowers and Gifts owner Chris Kolman said this is the third year doing the open house, and it’s getting bigger and bigger.

&#8220Last year we had 325 people show up in four hours,” he said. &#8220Everyone has the freedom to come out and visit the businesses. Gift baskets from each store will be available to win in the drawing at Armand’s Café, but to enter you must have a stamp from all 13 stores on a card (available at each store).”

Kolman also said Armand’s Café will be opening at 11 a.m. for lunch, so people can grab a bite to eat before they shop.
