Reserve woman reports rape

GARYVILLE — A Garyville man is being sought by the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office for the alleged rape of a 58-year-old Reserve woman.

Deputies are searching for Michael Davis 40, who according to the victim’s statement, invited her into his trailer when he saw her walking alone down the road around 3 a.m. on Saturday.

“She was walking down the road,” said. Maj. Mike Tregre with the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office. “She saw Davis, which she knew and said he needed someone to talk to, so she voluntary went in.”

The victim stated Davis forced himself onto her and had sex with her several times against her will.

Tregre said after the rape, Davis would not let her leave until 5:30 a.m. and she did not report it until 10:30 a.m.
