GOLF TOURNEY SET

The St. Charles Humane Society is set to hold its 6th annual Howl-In-One Golf tournament at the Ormond Country Club at 10 Villere Drive in Destrehan on Monday, October 24 at 12:30. The cost is $70/per player and that includes lunch, beer, soft drinks, water, and reception with food after tournament and prizes. The format is a four-person scramble with prizes for all. PHENOM CAMP SET

The top 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade boy’s basketball players in the southeast United States are coming to Atlanta! The Georgia Regional Jr. Adidas Phenom Camp is set for October 1 and 2 for only $195 and it includes an Adidas Jr. Phenom uniform, exposure and coverage from top recruiting services. FRIENDS OF THE PORT 6TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT SET

The 6th annual Riverlands Golf and Country Club Golf Tournament is set for Thursday, October 20 at the Riverlands Golf and Country Club. Registration is set for noon with tournament play beginning at 1:00. The cost is $100 person and includes lunch, beverages and a banquet. The format will be a four-person scramble. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd lowest scores, long drive and closest to the hole.

FOOTBALL REGISTRATION SET

KIWANIS CYCLING EVENT SET

The Kiwanis Club of Hammond is inviting cyclists to become a part of the 15th Annual Tour de Tangipahoa. This fully catered event will take cyclists through the beautiful countryside of Tangipahoa Parish on the North Shore in the fabled Florida Parishes.

This event, set for Saturday, September 17, will feature 30 and 62-mile rides.

Cost of entry in the Tour de Tangipahoa is $30 prior to September 2. After that date the fee is $35. Sponsorships are not required. A free tee shirt will be given to all who ride. Refreshments, including sports juice, fruit, candy and water will be provided at numerous rest stops along the route. A free lunch awaits riders at the conclusion of the tour. Police escorts, SAG wagons and mechanical assistance will be provided to cyclists.

Check-in time for the tour will be at 6:30 a.m. at the University Center on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University. The 62-mile ride departs at 7:30 a.m. and the 30-mile event gets underway at 9 a.m.
