RESERVE – The Reserve man who allegedly molested the daughters of his girlfriend of two years has been found.

After a nationwide search for a man who was identified after the grandmother of the two girls took them to the hospital, Willie Bryant Jr., 40, of LaPlace was arrested.

“After he was identified we put his name in a nation-wide database,” said Public Information Officer Maj. Mike Tregre of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office. “An agency in Pascagoula, Miss. located him and took him into custody. He was shipped back to St. John Parish and is still incarcerated.”

Bryant has been charged with two counts of molestation of a juvenile and a bond of $100,000, $50,000 for each count, was set by Judge Madeline Jasmine, according to Tregre.

The two young girls three and four years old were brought to River Parishes Hospital on July 23 by their grandmother to be examined for possible sexual abuse.

Tregre said the grandmother confronted an officer working security at the hospital and told him the mother’s boyfriend had touched the two girls inappropriately.

The Sheriff’s Office worked jointly with the Office of Child Safety to investigate.
