HAHNVILLE — The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, along with LaFourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Wildlife and Fisheries are searching for Charles Cornwell, a 57 year-old fisherman from Des Allemands.

Cornwell’s boat was located at approximately 2:30 p.m. by two fisherman approximately three miles South of the Des Allemands Bridge.

The boat was found unoccupied running in circles. It is believed that the victim was not wearing a life jacket, due to one being found on the boat.

Boaters and divers began a search of the area as soon as the unoccupied boat was located.

The search continued through Thursday night, and as of this time is still on going.
