LAPLACE – Albert “Koyo” Gray Sr., 77, a native of St. James and a resident of LaPlace, died July 11. He was the husband of Sonja Gray.

He is survived by his children Albert Jr., Romona, Elvera and Dominge Gray.

He is also survived by his sister Erlean Gray, daughter-in-law Mercinia Gray, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Daryl Gray and his parents Clement and Jennie Gray.

Services were held July 14 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with interment in St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve.

EDGARD – Audrey Miller Hall, 70, a native of Edgard and a resident of New Orleans, died July 13. She was the daughter of the late Bertha Burke and Oscar Miller.

She is survived by her children Richard Hall, Mary Hall Briscoe, Jeff Hall, Belinda Cain and Shawn Michael Hall.

She is also survived by her siblings Irene Bailey, Lorita Savoie, Rose Donald and Carol Ann Adams, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Sterling Miller and Vivian Mary Allen.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment in the church cemetery.

LULING – Thelma Josephine Portier Hymel, 89, a native of Bowie and a resident of Luling, died July 8. She was the wife of George Leon Hymel.

She is survived by her children Gordon, Gerald and Philip Hymel.

She is also survived by her siblings Hillary Portier, Verina Landry, Joyce Sciortino, Jo Ann Fanguy and Judy Crochet, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held July 14 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, with interment in Garden of Memories.

NORCO – Curtis Klafert, 43, a native of Chicago and a resident of Norco, died July 12.

He is survived by his siblings Stuart, Ralph and Ray Klafert, Mary Klafert, Lynn Barquero and Marny Douglas.

Services will be held today at 7:30 p.m. at Bagnell and Son Funeral Home, Covington, with private interment.

GARYVILLE – Claude Issac Knight Sr., 74, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Mt. Airy and Garyville, died July 9.

He is survived by his children Craig, Gerald, Elliot and Cecil Knight, Beverly and Roselyn Knight, Linda Shorty and Desiree Allen.

He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

LAPLACE – Larry Lazar Williams Jr., 63, a native of Reserve and a resident of LaPlace, died July 13. He was the husband of Cynthia Walker Williams.

He is survived by his son Jason Williams.

He is also survived by his mother Helen Luminais, siblings Julia Remondet, Catherine Reynolds, Tammy Milioto, Lisa Hoover, Leo, Julian, Chuck and Tommy Williams.
