GARYVILLE – Wilbert Joseph Broussard, 83, a native of Ossun and a resident of Garyville, died June 24. He was the husband of the late Martha Brown Broussard.

He is survived by his children Wanda B. Lee, Connie R. Broussard, Charlotte B. Perrilloux, William J. Broussard, Andrea E. Broussard and Richard D. Broussard.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Guillaume and Bertha Mouton Broussard, his daughter Cheryl Suzanne Broussard and his brother Antoine Elie Roy “Leroy” Broussard.

His body has been donated to LSU for medical research. There will be no funeral.

RESERVE – Patricia “Pat” Brown, 58, a native and resident of Reserve, died June 24.

She is survived by her children Bryon, Andrew, Gerald, Orlando, Michael and Thurmas (Dolla) Brown, Lizelle Bradley, Marilyn McGuffy, MaGary Moore, Henry Ann, Paula Valinteen and Ingrid Brown.

She is also survived by 27 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Tchoupitoulas Chapel, Reserve, with interment in the Zion Travelers Cemetery, Reserve.

Hobson Brown Funeral Home of Garyville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation at the church begins 10 a.m.

LAPLACE – Jennifer Alexie Coaten, 39, a native of Marrero and a resident of LaPlace, died June 25. She was the wife of Bart Coaten.

She is survived by her father Vincent Alexie Sr.

She is also survived by her stepchildren Josh and Mallory Coaten, Godchildren Jenea Alexie and Vicent Alexie III and brother Vincent Alexie Jr.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ora Ann Adam Alexie and her grandparents Sidney and Leona Inez Perrin Adam.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, Marrero, with interment in St. John’s Memorial Park, LaPlace.

Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation at the funeral home begins at 8 a.m.

CONVENT – Leroy Collins Sr., 100, a native of Mississippi and a resident of Convent and New Orleans.

He is survived by his children Terrail Collins, Audrey McField, Vera Smith, Mary Collins and Carol DeTiege.

He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 25 at Israelite Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment in the Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.

BOUTTE – Larry Davis, 62, native and resident of Boutte, died June 19. He was the husband of Yvonne Colly Davis.

He is survived by his stepchildren Ricky Sandolph, Andrea Reynolds, Shelly Young and Sonya Cummings.

He is also survived by his siblings Elizabeth King, Bobbie Sandolph, Evelyn Alexander, Otis, Issac, Edward and Joseph Davis and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Sr. and Evelina Bourgeois Davis and siblings Joyce Campbell, Theresa Fiest, Louisa Pinkney, Dolly, Jacob, Lawrence and Larry Davis.

Services were held June 24 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boutte, with interment in the St. Mary Cemetery, Boutte.

LAPLACE – Jeanne Torres Guidry, 32, a native and resident of LaPlace, died June 23. She was the wife of Toby Guidry.

She is survived by her children Amber, Ashley and Courtney Guidry.

She is also survived by her parents Stuart and Donna Andry Torres, brother Jason (Andre) Torres and mother and father-in-law Gordon and Mary Guidry.

Services were held June 25 at the Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment in the St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan.

VACHERIE – Donald Joseph Hymel, 88, a native and resident of Vacherie, died June 21. He was the husband of Marjorie Simon Hymel.

He is survived by his children Curtis P. Hymel, Nadine H. Delatte, Pamela H. Zeringue, Marie H. Dufresne and Jeanne H. Landry.

He is also survived by his siblings Russell and Huey Hymel, Yolande Waguespack, Irma Marchadie, Rowena Lablat, Geraldine Becnel, Faye Troxclair, Elaine Troxclair, Frances Poirrier, 15 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dozillia J. and Marie Waguespack Hymel, siblings marguerite H. Bourgeois, Leonie T. Hymel, Elsie Zeringue and Richard Hymel.

Services were held June 23 at the St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.

RESERVE – Oscar Ignatius “OJ” Johnson III, 21, a native and resident of Reserve, died June 19. He was the son of Vanessa Linton and the late Oscar Johnson Jr.

He is survived by his siblings Arianna Runner, Bridgett and Tameka Johnson.

He is also survived by his grandparents Earl and Betty Linton and the late Oscar and Leona Johnson and aunt Yasmin Linton.

Services were held June 25 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in the St. John Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, LaPlace.

DESTREHAN – Lucrecia Marie Montz Pollet, 98, a native of Lions and a resident of Destrehan, died June 22 at her North Carolina residence. She was the wife of the late Joseph Albert Pollet.

She is survived by her siblings Agnes Lousteau, Grace St. Pierre, Guy Montz and Lester (Elsie) Montz.

Services were held June 27 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment in the church mausoleum.

NORCO – Robert Adam Smith, 55, a native and resident of Norco, died June 23. He was the husband of Cynthia Mayeux Smith.

He survived by his children Brandon and Christina Smith, Michelle (Michael) Bellinger and Marie (David) Flannery.

He is also survived by his siblings Cheryl Hoeft, Morton (Smith, Thomas Smith and Deborah O’Neal and grandchildren Gabrielle and Joshua Flannery.

He was preceded in death by his parents Belmont and Marie Cunningham Smith.

Services were held June 27 at Sacred Heart Church, Norco, with interment in the St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
