LAPLACE ‘d0’d0 A residence fire in LaPlace, in which arson has been suspected, is still under investigation, although no further information is available on the incident.

The fire broke out last Friday morning at the house located at 39 Sandpiper Drive.

According to Maj. Mike Tregre of the St. John the Baptist Sheriff’d5s Office, the police arrived to find the house completely engulfed by the flames.

The resident of the house, Albert Tebault, was not home at the time. Tebault’d5s family reportedly lives in New Orleans. No one was injured in the fire.

The fire did extensive damage to the residence, including the garage and the vehicles at the home.

Tebault, who owns a limo company, had one of the limos parked in the backyard that did not incur any damage.

Donald Carter, of the state fire marshal’d5s office, declined to comment on any details of the investigation, only saying it is still active and further details may be released next week. }
