RESERVE – Three men are being sought after they broke into a Reserve home on Friday, located at 261 East 27th Street and robbed the owner by gunpoint.

The home owner Cardell Stevens, 29, contacted authorities after a series of events that started by, what he said was knocking on his front door, according to information provided by the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Department.

Stevens said he asked who was at the door and an unidentified male answered, “Me.” Stevens opened the door to what he recalled being three males wearing blue jeans and rags on their faces forcing their way through his front door, according to authorities.

One of the men pointed a handgun at Stevens and told him to get on the ground. Then threatened Stevens not to say anything, according to the incident report.

Stevens reported the subjects taking several objects from his home, mainly electronics valuing around $600, according to authorities.

According to Authorities, Stevens believes this may have to do with the shooting he witnessed a couple of nights ago, that may have involved the same three men
