SLIDELL-You just won the district 10-3A title less than a week ago against your arch-rival 13-3A.

A letdown in the regular season non-district finale may have been possible.

St. Charles Catholic fans just hope that the Comet baseball team has now gotten all the losses out of their system for a very, very long time.

The Comets concluded their regular season Monday night on the road against Northshore.

Scoring early and often, the Panthers of Northshore defeated St. Charles Catholic, 6-0.

Chad Lawrence was the hitting star of the day for Northshore, smacking a home run.

Erik Meyer (5-1) meanwhile was nearly unhittable on the mound, allowing only two hits.

Never really a close game, Northshore broke out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first and never really looked back.

Jesse Martin took the loss on the mound for the Comets.
