HAHNVILLE – Beverly Guidry Ockman, 68, a native of Thibadaux and a resident of Hahnville, died April 14. She was the wife of Elton Stephen Ockman.

She is survived by her children, Cheri Williams, Laurie Rawson, Bryan Ockman and Elton “Jay” Ockman Jr.

She is also survived by three sisters, two brothers and eight grandchildren.

Services were held April 18 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, with internment in the church cemetery.

LUMAR

VACHERIE – Louisa Lumar, 95, a native and resident of Vacherie, died April 15. She was the wife of the late Ernest Lumar.

She is survived by her nephew of Wilkerson Isom and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held April 22 at the Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with internment in the church cemetery.

MATHERNE

GARYVILLE – Lisa Rita Tassin Matherne, 87, a native of Wallace and resident of Garyville, died on April 17. She was the wife of the late Sidney J. Matherne.

She is survived by her children, Sidney J. Jr., Douglas M., Phil E. Sr. and Allen J. Sr. Matherne, Gloria M. Tamplain, Noreen M. Champagne and Patty M. Baker.

She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Services were held April 18 at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with internment in the St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

MILLET

RESERVE – Irvin A. “Snipe” Millet, 93, a native and resident of Reserve, died April 15. He was the husband of the late Josephine Vicknair Millet.

He is survived by his children, Madeleine Clement, Trudy Delaneuville, Alice Maders, Penny and Rhonda Duhe.

He is also survived by his brothers Denis, elson, Earl “Mac” and Sammy Millet, his sisters, Velma Jacob and Lucille Barthel, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were held on April 18 at the St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with internment in the church cemetery.

ADAMS

VACHERIE – Thomas “Seaweed-Twiggy” Eugene Adams, Jr., 57, a native of Vacherie and resident of Gretna and Harvey, died April 13.

He was the husband of Bernice M. Green.

He is survived by his son Thomas Eugene Adams, Sr., brothers, Lawerence, Raymond and John Adams and sisters, Madeline Carter, Loria Miles, Rose Hughes, Eva Lucas and Gayle Bastian.

He is also survived by his father, Thomas Eugene Adams, Sr. and five grandchildren.

Services were held April 18 at Rhodes Funeral Home, Gretna, with internment in the Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale.

MOORE

DESTREHAN – Jannifer Joy Hayes Moore, 54, a native of Gadsden, Al. and resident of Destrehan, died April 17.

She was the wife of C. Frank Moore and an assistant principal at Luling Elementary.

She is survived by her son, Jeremy M. Moore and her father, Prentice “Bill” Hayes.

Services will be held today at 4 p.m. at the John Calvin Presbyterian Church, Metairie, with internment in the Forest Cemetery, Gadsden Al.
