LULING – Christopher Paul Archuleta, 29, a native of Metairie and

resident of Luling, died March 30. He was the son of H.M. “Mike”0000

and Delores Aliff Archuleta.

He is survived by his two sons, Collin Michael and Cody Matthew

Archuleta.

He is also survived by his brother Michael J. Archuleta, his sister

Sandra A. David and his grandparents Ernie and Rose Vigil and Gisela

and Keith Stine.

Services were held April 5 at the Mothe Funeral Home, Marrero.

DESTREHAN – James Alvin Becnel, 78, a native and resident of

Destrehan, died April 3. He was the husband of the late Janice Landry Becnel.

He is survived by his children, Kirt, Kenneth and Krystal Becnel, Karen

Becker, Kalli Temple, and Kay Clark.

He is also survived by three brothers, three sisters, three

grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Services were held April 5 at St.Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,

Destrehan, with internment in the church mausoleum.

LAPLACE – Edna Thompson Petri, 87, a native of New Jersey and

resident of LaPlace, died April 1. She was the wife of the late Peter H. Petri.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Young, Joan Logan and Peter

Petri.

She is also survived by two sisters, seven grandchildren and one

great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one sister.

Services were held April 4 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with

internment in the St. John Memorial Gardens, Laplace.

CONVENT – Geraldine M. “P-Nut” Bleakley, 41, a native and

resident of Convent, died March 30. She was the wife of Mark E. Bleakley.

She is survived by her children Aimee, Randi, Johsua, Zachary and Devon

Bleakley.

She is also survived by her mother, sister and two brothers and four

grandchildren.

Services were held April 4 at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic

Church, Convent, with internment in the church cemetery.

RESERVE – Maxine Adams Donaldson, 62, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Reserve, died April 1. She was the former wife of Guy Donaldson.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth, Kelly, Mark and Guy “Doc” Donaldson, Adele Wall, Mary Shelton, Sandra Beebe and Claire Childers.

She is also survived by her brother George “Marty” Adams, 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with a private burial.

WALLACE – Sister Bernadette Waguespack, 90, a native of Wallace, died April 4. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Anthony and Adrienne Edith Waguespack.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers and two sisters, George Joseph, Arthur Anthony, Paul J. and Mary Rose Waguespack and Mathilde W. Schof.

Services were held April 5 at the Mount Carmel Motherhouse Chapel, New Orleans, with internment in the St. Louis #3 Cemetery.

NORCO – Nolan C. Nicholas, 79, a resident of Norco, died April 3. He was the father and father-in-law of Carol and Wade Rogers.

He is survived by two grandchildren, Ian and Ethan Rogers and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Maxime and Louise Nicholas and his four brothers, Roy, Leonard, Kenneth and Robert Nicholas.

Services were held April 5 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with internment in the Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Metairie.
