Convent – Robert Benn, Jr., 70, a native and resident of Convent, died March 20. He was the son of Robert Sr. And Adeline Benn.

He is survived by his former wife Ethel Howard Benn, his daughter Angela Benn, and three sons Michael, Timothy, and Joseph Benn.

He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Services will be held on March 26 at St. James Methodist Church on 9160 Methodist St., Convent at 11 a.m. with internment at church cemetery. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m.

GEASON

Welcome – Edward “Joe” Geason Jr., 92, a resident of Welcome, died March 19. He was the husband of the late Olevia James Geason.

He is survived by his two daughters Joyce Dumas and Josie Tassin.

He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 22 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James with internment in church cemetery.

JOSEPH

Welcome – Feeby Dennis Joseph, 84, a native and resident of Welcome, died March 18. She was the wife of the late Richard Joseph.

She is survived by two daughters Gloria S. West and Delores Joseph, eleven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edmond and Mary Dennis and her three sons Herbert and Richard Joseph Jr. And Albert Smith.

Services will be held March 26 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, St. James at 11 a.m. with internment in the church cemetery.Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

PRIDDY

New Sarpy – William “Pops” Priddy, 71, a native of Muncie, Indiana and a resident of New Sarpy, died March 21. He was the husband of Phyllis White Priddy.

He is survived by his children Robert, Steve and Connie Priddy.

He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today at Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie, Indiana with internment in the Garden of Memory Cemetery and Mausoleum, Muncie.

WINDMANN

Convent – Mildred Murry Grant Windmann, 85, a native of convent and a resident of Metairie, died March 20. She was the wife by first marriage to the late James Douglas Grant III and by second marriage to William J. Windmann Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Jacqulin G. Hamer, her sister helen M. Bertheaud, and her brother Norman J. Murry.

She is also survived by three grandchildre, seven great-grandchildren, one foster great-grandchild, and two foster great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Services were held at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home with internment in Lake Lawn Park.

dufresne

LAPLACE – Dorothy “Bootie” Montegut Dufresne, 84, a native and resident of LaPlace, died March 23. She was the wife of the late Wilton “Boo Boo” Durfresne.

She is survived by her sister Hazel Ory.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Jr. and Amanda Montegut and her brother Charles Montegut III.

Services were held March 24 at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with internment in St. Peters cemetery.

JACKSON

MT. AIRY – Howard “Howie” Jackson, of New Sarpy, died March 18. He was the companion of Louise Narcisse.

He is survived by his step-children Paula, Otis and Tracy Barney, his sisters Brenda Washington, Gloria Clark, Mary Lee, and his brothers Abraham Jr., Russell and Gregory Jackson.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Services will be held today at the St. Matthew Baptist Church on E.S. Johnson Street, New Sarpy at 11 a.m. With internment in St. Rose Cemetery.

Des Allemands – Earl Joseph Sevin, Sr. at Des Allemands, Louisiana on Monday, March 21, 2005 at 7:30 a.m. Beloved husband of Lisa Douglas Sevin. Father of Earl J. Sevin, Jr., Michael Sevin, Brent M. Douglas and Travis J. Douglas, Ruth Sevin Johnson, and Aurita Sevin Ponsaa.

Brother of John J. Sevin and Marguerite Sevin Punch and Dolores Sevin Oppermann. Grandfather of Christine E. Sevin and Joseph R. Sevin. Preceded in death by his parents Joseph E. Sevin and Lily Babin Sevin.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on March 23 at the St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands with internment in Lakelawn Cemetary.

He was a parishoner of St. Gertrude Catholic Church. He was a WW II Naval veteran. He was a committee member of the Catfish Festival and a retired electrician and a member of IBEW Local 130. He was an avid fisherman who loved to cook. Gone Fishing. Samart Funeral Home and Crematorium was in charge of arrangements.

BRADSTREET

Killona – Gilbert Lee Bradstreet, 51, a native of Killona and resident of New Orleans, died March 14. He was the husband of Ella Johnson Bradstreet.

He is survived by his son and daughter Kyran and Bianca Bradstreet and step-daughter Jolene Mercer.

He is also survived by eight brothers, five sisters, and five grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church, Killona with internment in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. at Tilly’s Funeral Home,New Orleans.
