This accident happened late Monday afternoon, when this Nissan 240SX, driven by Jordan Bailey, 19, of LaPlace, ran the red light at River Forest and Airline Highway. The other vehicle, a Lincoln Town Car driven by Eugene Wilson, 74, of LaPlace, was pulling out of River Forest to turn left onto Airline when the driver’s side was struck. Traffic officers at the scene said Bailey was cited with disregarding a traffic light and no auto liability insurance. The officers said it was the latest of 14 auto accidents between 2 and 5 p.m., partially caused by the heavy rainstorm which passed through the area. (Staff Photo by Leonard Gray)
