DESTREHAN – St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg C. Champagne will hold his annual Senior Citizens Easter Luncheon on March 17 at the Shriners Hall on Ormond Boulevard in Destrehan.

The event begins at 11 a.m., when the lunch will be served.

Members of the St. Charles Parish Triad will be on hand with the Triad Drug Disposal program, collecting expired and unused medications for proper and safe disposal.

“We are asking seniors throughout the parish to do a spring clean sweep of their expired and unused medications and drop them off at the collection booth as you come in to enjoy our Easter Luncheon,” said Susie Breaux of the sheriff’s office.

The menu includes crawfish stew, cole slaw, bread and dessert.

Special presentations will be made to the eldest man and woman attending, along with door prizes from local businesses. The Shriner’s Dance Band will also perform.
