METAIRIE – Jacqueline Olivier Davis, 66, a native of New Orleans and resident of St. Rose, died Feb. 25.

She was the wife of E.L. “Abe” Davis and mother of David II, Steven and James Gares.

She was also the daughter of Carmen Lubrano and Maurice Olivier Sr., and sister of Wayne and Maurice Olivier Jr.

She is also survived by two grandchildren.

She was a secretary at Pooltech in New Orleans.

Services are March 3 at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, with interment at Lake Lawn Park. Visitation starts today at 6-9 p.m., and tomorrow at 9 a.m.

EVANS

NEW ORLEANS – Susan Ann Sabala Evans, a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace for 25 years, died Feb. 22.

She was the wife of Cameron Evans and mother of Jason, Brad and Cameron Evans III.

She was also the daughter of Lorraine Sabala, and the late Willie Sabala Sr., and sister of Mary Lavigne, Lorriane Spicuzza and Willie Sabala Jr.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 26 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, New Orleans, with private interment.

FOLSE

ST. JAMES – Antoine “Royley” Folse Sr., 90, a native of Vacherie and resident of Donaldsonville, died Feb. 26.

He was the husband of the late Therese Zeringue Folse, and father of Ruth Hirsh, Phyllis Graves, Royley Jr., Chef John, Jerry, Lawrence “Larry,” Carroll “Tottie” and Philip Folse, and the late Fay and Royley Folse III.

He was also the son of the late Louisey and Lutetia Marse Folse, and brother of the late Beatrice Matherne, Aurelise Becnel, Elodia Stein and Aureaus “Mac” Folse.

He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired superintendent at St. James Sugar Co-Op.

Services were March 1 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church mausoleum.

GONOR

NORCO – Angeline Vicknair Gonor, 96, a native of Heart of Island and resident of Norco, died Feb. 25. She was the wife of the late Lester Gonor, and mother of Leah Weber and John Gonor, and the late Louis Gonor.

She was also the daughter of the late Joseph and Julienne Keller Vicknair, and sister of Mary Taylor, Leona Ferrero, Shirley Pi Scotti, Avis Landry, Alex and E.J. Vicknair, and the late Lena Petite, Calise Decereaux, Beauregard and Oliver Vicknair.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Services were Feb. 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum.

GUCCIONE

LAPLACE – Mary Grace Guccione, 89, a native of Harvey and resident of St. John the Baptist Parish for 85 years, died Feb. 25.

She was the daughter of the late Salvadore and Congetta Panapinto Guccione, stepdaughter of Joseph Saragusa, and sister of Jack and Josee Saragusa, and the late Carlo, Dominick, Roy, Sam, Angelina Saragusa, Marie and Francis Guccione.

Services were March 1 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

GUARISCO

NEW ORLEANS – Eveline Vicknair Guarisco, 85, a native of LaPlace and resident of Metairie for 56 years, died Feb. 22.

She was the wife of Frank Guarisco Jr., and mother of Elizabeth Pelican and Peter Guarisco.

She was also the sister of Claire Madere and Inez Goodman.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were March 1 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at St. Patrick No. 1 Cemetery.

HYMES

NEW ORLEANS – Milton Hymes Sr., 91, a native of St. James and resident of New Orleans, died Feb. 24.

He was the husband of the late Alma Hymes, and father of Anita Lewis, Carolyn and Wilton Hymes.

He was also the son of the late Mitchell and Ida Hymes, and brother of Annie Bell Bissiant.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 28 at Beulah Land Baptist Church, New Orleans, with interment at Mt. Airy Baptist Cemetery, Boutte.

JACOB

RESERVE – Robert Jules Jacob Sr., 85, a native and resident of Reserve, died Feb. 25.

He was the husband of Hazel Bergeron Jacob, and father of Melanie Poche, Deborah Loupe and Byron Jacob, and the late Robert Jacob Jr.

He was also the son of the late Moise and Lydia Cambre Jacob, and brother of Shirleen Trosclair, Harry and Leonard Jacob, and the late Alma Guillot, Guy, Allain and Marcel Jacob.

He was a veteran of World War II and a retired sugar clerk of Godchaux Sugar Refinery.

Services were Feb. 28 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with private Interment.

JOUBERT

NORCO – Maude Marie Jobert, 80, a resident of St. Charles Parish, died Feb. 27. She was the wife of the late George Joubert Jr., and mother of Debbie Brooks, Claudia and Robin Joubert.

She was also the sister of Elise McCabe, Lucille Landeche and Isabel Madere.

She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services are today at 1 p.m., in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

MALONE

EDGARD – Gertrude Virginia Songy Malone, 84, a native of Evergreen Plantation and resident of Edgard, died Feb. 26. She was the wife of the late William Malone, and mother of William Jr., John, David and Thomas Malone.

She was also the daughter of the late Prudent Sr., and Ella Songy, and sister of Odile Vaello, Inez Caire, and the late Ludivine Stakes, Elma Gendron, Euna Andrews, Elise King, Aubin Sr., Joseph and Gerard Songy.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Services are today at 1 p.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 11 a.m.

MARROY

NORCO – Lena Bourgeois Marroy, 90, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Norco, died Feb. 24. She was the wife of the late Philip Marroy, and mother of Phyllis Bourgeois, Linda Donaldson and Ronald Marroy.

She was also the sister of Velma Samson, Barbara Ackerman, and the late Bertha Daigle, Inez Burns, Rose, Murphy, Clifford, Clarence, Arthur and Carl Bourgeois.

She is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services were Feb. 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

PERKINS

LUTCHER – Fred Perkins Jr., 58, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Feb. 22. He was the former husband of Betty Perkins and father of Shawn Bourgeois, April Washington, Monica Williams, Tharnell and Shannon Washington.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were Feb. 25 at Israelite Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at Golden Wreath Cemetery, Lutcher.

PITTMAN

GRAMERCY – Lawrence “Potty” Pittman, 61, a native of Gramercy and resident of Reserve, died Feb. 28. He was the husband of Dianne Washington Pittman and father of Joely Davis and Michael Pittman.

He was also the son of Verlea Pittman, and the late Charlie Pittman, and brother of Olevia Turney, Nettie Wallace, Gay and Charles Pittman, and the late Joe and Walter Pittman.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were March 1 at New Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church, Gramercy, with interment at C.F.B.A. Cemetery, Paulina.

WILLIAMS

RIVER RIDGE – Eddie Williams Jr., 58, a native of St. Francesville and resident of LaPlace, died Feb. 17. He was the father of Danyell and April Alexander.

He was also the brother of Isaac, ikey and John Williams.

He is also survived by four grandchildren.

He was a retired truck driver.

Services were Feb. 26 in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home, River Ridge, with interment at Belgrove Cemetery.
