RESERVE – The second annual Black History parade in St. John the Baptist Parish is set Sunday at 2 p.m., in Reserve.

The parade will include 10 marching bands, gospel music, jazz, zydeco, rhythm-and-blues and rap groups.

The parade will pay tribute to Stanley “Buckwheat” Dural and Ray Charles. A souvenir cup will be thrown with their pictures and accomplishments.

The parade starts at 2 p.m., at the Reserve Recreation Center on Railroad Avenue, to NW Fourth Street, to Gueret Street, to Annex Street, back to Railroad Avenue to West Second Street to River Road, to West First Street, to Railroad Avenue to Central Avenue, to River Road to West Eighth Street to Godchaux Drive and back to Railroad Avenue, where it will disperse at the Reserve Recreation Center.
